"Nice, calm and compact hotel situated in a neighborhood (no traffic sounds). Very comfortable beds 🛌, I had a great sleep. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t offer anything except of the most basic necessities (amenities), but for sleeping over it is good enough. Walkable distance to the imperial palace park, walkable to the centre, very good location. The room(s) could use deeper cleaning of the dust in the rooms (see pictures)."

"That was a pleasure to stay in there. Place was easy to find and the tips how to check-in and check-out were clear. Room was clean and comfortable, there were a lot of space, big beds, nice bathroom. And what is important: best shampoo I have ever used, truly. I really enjoyed staying in there and for sure will come back one day."

"A very good hotel, quite well located and quiet. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The only downside was the fluctuating internet connection during our stay. The welcome was warm with thoughtful touches for the guest. I highly recommend this hotel if you're coming to Kyoto!"

"It was a nice hotel to stay and we had a lovely balcony room which we cherished. The room has no daily room services so the room cleanliness is up to you. They have the required tools to keep it clean but after back to back days of 14/15 hours outside trying to make the most of your days in Japan you will most likely not think about cleaning your hotel room! Staff are friendly and try their best to help. They said there was no iron but then the next day I saw an iron set with the staff on the reception so not sure if there was a miscommunication with my request preciously, which was annoying but not the end of the world. They do have free to use washing machines for your laundry just make sure you fully understand the instructions on the machine before using as I managed to make a normal wash into 9 hours of wash and dry and worrying about my clothes 😂😂 Oops! If you are a first time tourist to Kyoto the location will make it very difficult for you to make the most of your day as you will be rushing back to make the last bus as the train lines are not amazing in this location. But if your looking for more chilled out peaceful local life there are lots of great local restaurants to attend and I would highly recommend take a look at 2254 hotel & lounge for a very aesthetically pleasing coffee and relax cafe work vibe. There are no bar or drink services in Dash Living Gojo but you have very close by a 7/11 and Lawsons. Overall enjoyed the room and the atmosphere of the location but it’s probably not ideal if you are planning a very intense tourist heavy itinerary for Kyoto."

"The room was quite big, as well as the bed, very comfortable. It had the washing machine, drier, the stove, sink, all the cooking utensils and a small refrigerator, which was a blessing. I think it could be closer to the transportation routes and center, but the location was ok still. Costs its mobey."

"This stay at Clearwater Store is one of the most satisfying accommodations on my trip to Kyoto. First of all, the location of the homestay is very good, walking distance to Kiyomizu Temple, 2-year-old Han, 3-year-old Han, Yasaka Shrine and other most representative attractions in Kyoto. The surrounding area of the homestay retains a strong traditional Kyoto neighborhood. You can also enjoy the classic view of the Five-Tower nearby. You can feel the unique tranquility and historical atmosphere of Kyoto by strolling on the streets in the morning and evening. If you want to slowly experience Kyoto culture, rather than rushing to punch in, it is really suitable for a few days. In the evening, you can also walk to Kamogawa for a walk or jog. While blowing the evening breeze, you can enjoy the coastal scenery and watch the locals walk, run, and picnic. It is very pleasant and a way to experience the rhythm of Kyoto life. The room is much more spacious than expected, and it is already a large area in Japan. There is no problem with the two large suitcases being spread out at the same time. The space for activities is also very sufficient. It will not feel crowded at all and it is very comfortable to live. The supporting facilities in the room are also very complete, kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine, microwave oven, tableware, kitchenware, etc. are all available, and it is very convenient to cook and laundry by yourself. For tourists planning to stay in Kyoto for a few days or even a week or two, it can fully meet the needs of daily life, and live as comfortable as at home. The check-in process was smooth, the staff responded promptly, and the overall experience was very pleasant. Whether it is the first time I come to Kyoto, or people who want to deeply feel Kyoto culture and slow down travel, I highly recommend this homestay. Next time I come to Kyoto, I will choose to live here."

"Nice place, good location, very near with Kiyomizu temple just. We enjoy with cooking.there have 7-11, Fammily and Fresco that can buy fresh food for cooking with our dinner. We walk to Gion , Kamo revier , Nishiki Market, Daimaru and come back by bus206 is very convenience choice. We walk to buy Green tea (Gokago) , Mochi Mochi, tea cup at walk way to Kiyomizu Dera. The 4th floor is good view that can see Kiyomisu dera. We recommend 403 number room for this view. A little noise of car coz of near street. But we enjoy and tried that is not problem for sleeping. That is considered a fair price for this place"

"The price was reasonable, the location was great (there was a convenience store nearby), the room's interior was clean, and it was nice that the bathroom and toilet were separate, and there was a separate bedroom. I would like to stay there again."

"I traveled with my wife, children, and mother-in-law—three adults and one child. Overall, the environment was okay. It's a standard hotel with a kitchen, which was convenient for preparing meals for the kids. There was also a washing machine and a dryer in the bathroom, which was great for drying overnight. Because there were three adults, we had two single beds and a sofa bed, which made the overall space a bit small. It's about a 10-minute walk from the subway station and bus stop, so transportation is quite convenient. Be sure to confirm your name when checking in; the check-in agent confused me with another tourist."

"The hotel's overall design is very comfortable. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are great, and there's a generous supply of towels. They also provide plenty of hangers, and the in-room washer and dryer are a real lifesaver for long trips. During my five-day stay, the room was cleaned once. The simple kitchen appliances are also excellent, and the room setup matches the website description perfectly. The bed is just the right firmness, and the air conditioning is very stable. My only minor complaints are that the cutlery wasn't perfectly clean, and some towels had stains. The biggest drawback is the lack of a small table for dining. However, the overall experience was very good. The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store and supermarket, and transportation is very accessible. Definitely recommended!"
