Apartments σε Alaska, United States

"The price/performance ratio is much cheaper than what my American friends have ordered."

"This house is on great location between Fairbanks and Chena hot springs. The view from there is just amazing, breath taking. We were not so lucky to see Aurora, because of claudy weather, but I still dont regret to book that place. Its little bit pricier, but definitely worthy. It does have a lot of rules, but I understand they want to keep it pretty clean and quiet."

"Basic kitchen facilities are available. The house is an old house in 1903. The surrounding area is relatively quiet. There is free parking space downstairs or an exclusive parking space behind the residence. It is a 4-minute drive from the Kenai Glacier Shipboat. It is relatively close. There is a safeway supermarket nearby. You can buy ingredients to cook in the apartment, and overall it is highly recommended."

"Stayed in Fairbanks for a few days. Overall, North Star Place is more suitable for tourists who want to drive by themselves, cook by themselves, and need independent space, but there are several actual situations that can be referenced before check-in. First of all, the photos on Trip.com are light yellow and brighter in the overall style. It is easy to feel that the house is relatively new when you look at the photos, but you will find that the building and indoor facilities are some years old. It is not that it is not unusable, the overall maintenance is OK, it is a little different from the first impression given by the photo. If you are more concerned about the new and old degree of the hotel, it is recommended to reduce your expectations. The building has 3 floors and about 4 rooms per floor. The rooms are apartment-style accommodation, and the biggest advantage is that the living facilities are very complete. The kitchen has basically everything, pots, tableware, plates, hot water bottles, and even oil, salt, seasonings and coffee are ready. If you stay at Fairbanks for a few days, it is very convenient to go to Walmart to buy some ingredients and cook for yourself. There is a self-service laundry room on the first floor. Laundry $2, dry $2, and machine collect 25 cents (quarter). If laundry + drying once, you need to prepare 16 quarters, which is $4. It is recommended to prepare coins in advance, there is no place to change on site. Parking is simpler, just park at the door of the building. However, in fact, in the past few days of self-driving in Fairbanks, I feel that parking in most places is more convenient, so parking here is not a problem. The bed is a softer type and I personally feel quite comfortable. The heating in the room can be adjusted by myself, but it was already early October when I checked in. The actual heating was not as hot as expected. Not sure if it was the outdoor temperature, heating settings or pipes at that time. The heating in the living room felt average. The bedroom was small because of the space, so the temperature was OK. If it is a colder winter stay, it is recommended to confirm with the accommodation in advance. In addition, some people on the Internet mentioned that it is noisy here, and I think this needs to be viewed objectively. The house itself is a wooden structure, so the footsteps and walking sounds upstairs will indeed be easier to pass down. But this is actually common in Fairbanks House and apartments, and it is not exactly a problem with this accommodation. If you are very sensitive to sound, you can ask for a high-rise. If you want sound insulation like a domestic reinforced concrete house, it may be more suitable for chain hotels (concrete structures). Overall, this is not a very new hotel, and there is no sense of service in a traditional hotel, but as an apartment-style accommodation in Fairbanks, the independence is good, the kitchen is very complete, the parking is convenient, there is a self-service laundry room, and the bed is comfortable. More suitable for renting a car to Fairbanks, staying for a few days, hoping to cook and wash clothes by yourself. To have reasonable expectations for the new and old level of facilities, wooden structure sound insulation and heating in advance, the overall is still more practical."
