Ξενοδοχεία με bar σε Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

"This was definitely my favorite hotel on this Izu trip! The value for money was exceptional, the views were great, and both dinner and breakfast were thoughtfully prepared. I saw some average reviews, but I actually found it to be quite good. My only minor complaint would be the limited shuttle service. In the morning, there are only shuttles at 9:20, 9:50, and a bit after 10:00. I arrived at 11:00 and had to make my own way to the hotel, which was a bit far, but the walk wasn't difficult and was actually quite pleasant. For your second day, I'd highly recommend catching the 9:20 shuttle to make the 9:37 Black Ship cruise to Shimoda!"

"An exceptional hotel with superb value for money and an excellent stay experience! 👍 First off, the staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly. The room was spacious, and I loved the dimly lit lounge area before entering both the indoor and outdoor hot springs. Plus, the hotel boasts a pool with lake views! 👍 The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, and as a vegetarian, I found plenty of delicious options. The Vegetarian Lasagna was particularly good! To top it off, the hotel lobby on the ground floor even offered complimentary drinks and snacks for three hours during certain periods – what a pleasant surprise! More importantly, the hotel is located on the shores of Lake Hamana in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture. It's a peaceful retreat away from the city's hustle and bustle. As someone who enjoys morning runs, the lakeside trail was perfect for jogging. The serene and beautiful lake views in the morning, coupled with the fresh air, made it an ideal place to relax and rejuvenate. 👍 I definitely plan on staying here for a few days every year! 🌹🌹🌹 Thank you, Trip.com, for helping me discover this wonderful hotel!"

"I chose this hotel mainly for the room view and the private mini-onsen. Even though the hotel isn’t within walking distance from the station, they offer a very convenient scheduled shuttle bus. (Just a quick heads-up: if your Odoriko train is delayed, as happened in my case, you might miss it, so be sure to plan your time with a buffer!) The hotel itself is a bit dated, but cozy. During this time of year in Japan, there are quite a few insects around, which naturally affects the hotel as well. Upon check-in, I noticed a couple of bugs in my room and reported it to the front desk. They promptly arranged an extra cleaning, and I didn't see any more bugs after that. The in-room onsen was clean and at a comfortable, not overly hot temperature. On clear nights, you can actually see the stars from it! I truly enjoyed relaxing in the evenings: listening to the sound of the ocean, stargazing, counting ships in the distance, and watching the lighthouse light up. Breakfast is served buffet-style with both Western and Japanese options. I usually went for fish or rice, and found everything quite delicious. The staff at the front desk are very welcoming and always ready to help. Their English is decent, but Google Translate also works great if you're worried about communication. Within walking distance from the hotel, there is a scenic island I highly recommend visiting it at sunrise or sunset! A few useful tips for future guests: - There are no convenience stores or shops near the hotel, so it’s best to buy food and snacks in advance. There is a fridge in the room! - Keep in mind that almost everything in Shimoda opens late and closes early, so plan your daily schedule accordingly. I will definitely return here one day. Shimoda is a truly wonderful place!"

"Second time staying here. This time, I was lucky enough to have a room with a view of Mount Fuji. The hotel isn't far from the JR station, about a ten-minute walk, so it's very convenient for going out to eat. The hotel rooms are quite spacious, and the breakfast is plentiful. The hotel service is also excellent. It's definitely worth staying here."

"The private hot spring baths on Ao and Hi require advance booking with a fee. The other four baths have one free booking. Basic food is average; the main attraction is the paid private hot spring experience, which is rare even in Izu. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not high. Guests staying at the downstairs Kuroganeiwa bathhouse get in for free, but the experience is also mediocre. There are many other options available at this price point."

"We booked the largest room type, but I think the sea view might actually be better in the standard rooms, as our room was located right on the far side. The lobster was pretty mediocre, so I wouldn't recommend booking the set meal. However, the breakfast and dinner buffets were quite good. I'd suggest going to the hot springs around 9 AM after breakfast; you'll practically have the place to yourself as it closes at 10 AM and doesn't reopen until the afternoon."

"My brother and I stayed at Hotel Associa Shizuoka during our trip, and it was absolutely fantastic. The location couldn't be better – it's directly connected to JR Shizuoka Station, which made traveling around the region so easy and convenient. The view was absolutely breathtaking! Our room was on one of the upper floors, and we had a stunning panoramic view of Mount Fuji right from our window. Waking up to that sight every morning was unforgettable. The city views at night were equally beautiful. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. The beds were great, and we slept really well. The bathroom was also well-equipped and modern. The breakfast was excellent – a wonderful buffet with both Japanese and Western options, all fresh and delicious. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring. The staff were professional, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall, Hotel Associa Shizuoka offered us amazing value, incredible views, and top-notch service. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shizuoka!"

"The room was clean and clean. I had breakfast this time, but there were many fresh ingredients and it was very delicious. The location was quiet and the atmosphere was a little rich and it was a perfect feeling for a petit trip. However, it was a pity that the response of the young people at the counter and the reception were not very good. It was a pity that it was not suitable for the appearance and the atmosphere that was chatting. But I wanted to stay again."

"Visiting Atami on a day without fireworks means fewer crowds. The hotel is located right below Atami Station, but walking can be a bit challenging due to the steep slopes. However, the hotel's view is truly amazing, and our family of three enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay. The hotel has a partnership with taxis at Atami Station, so transfers are free. You just need to get in a taxi at the designated stand outside Atami Station and tell the driver your check-in name, and you won't have to pay. The hotel's private onsen is excellent; soaking in a hot spring while overlooking the ocean is incredibly relaxing. However, the public onsen isn't very kid-friendly. Many onsens in Japan provide amenities for children, but this one doesn't. Also, since the hotel is a standalone building, it might not be the best experience for families with young children. I think it's more suitable for couples. The hotel has several restaurants, all of which serve excellent food. If you stay here, there's no need to eat out; just book different restaurants at the hotel for a diverse culinary experience!"

"Traveling as a family of three, we booked a triple room. The room size was quite generous for Japan, and it was very clean. The room we were given had a partially obstructed view, which was a shame, as the sea view would have been beautiful otherwise. Laundry is free, but surprisingly, the sun loungers with umbrellas by the pool cost extra – first time I've encountered that! Breakfast was around 200+ (Yen, I assume), which isn't great value for money, but it's a resort hotel, so it's acceptable. You can book dinner at the hotel or go to Kawazu Station, though there aren't many options there. There's a free shuttle bus, with the last one around 4:35 PM. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay, perfect for a relaxing vacation."
