Review of Onna Resort, Okinawa About me: I’m a frequent flyer to Japan and a long-time fan of staying at villas and resorts across the country. I enjoy discovering different accommodations across Japan. This time, I chose Onna Resort for a relaxing group trip. ⸻ 👍 What I liked: • Spacious resort– Very roomy and comfortable, easily fits 7–8 people. Perfect for families or groups of friends. • Clean and well-maintained – The entire resort was spotless and felt well cared for. • View exactly as shown in photos – Stunning ocean view that matches the listing. Great for enjoying sunrise and sunset. • Beach nearby – A beach is within walking distance. While it may not be the best in Okinawa, it’s still nice for a stroll or quick swim. • Washer and dryer setup – Includes both a washer-dryer combo and a separate dryer, which is especially handy for drying towels and clothes after swimming. • Well-equipped kitchen – Good selection of cookware and appliances for preparing meals. • Private and quiet surroundings – Peaceful setting with no disturbance from other guests. ⸻ 👎 What could be improved: • Inconsistent check-in information – The email offered early check-in, and a staff member via video call said I could check in at 2pm. But when I arrived, another staff said it was 3pm. This communication gap should be addressed. • Missing basic items – No cups or glasses were provided, obviously an oversight by the cleaning staff. • Limited towel supply – Towels are provided strictly based on headcount. Given the proximity to the beach, it would be more convenient to offer a few extra towels without needing to ask. • Limited Coffee Supply - The resort provides coffee bags based on headcount as well, which was insufficient for guests who consume two or three cups daily. A more generous and considerate coffee supply would enhance the experience. • Insufficient tableware – Only two large plates were provided. It would be more practical to include additional small dishes, rice bowls, and condiment plates (e.g. for soy sauce or wasabi), especially for guests who plan to cook. • Lack of basic cooking ingredients – It would be helpful if staple items like cooking oil, salt, and pepper were provided to make meal preparation more convenient. • No power outlets near beds – Most sockets were located low on the wall and away from sleeping areas, making it inconvenient to charge phones or devices overnight. • Weak Wi-Fi signal in places – Internet connection was spotty in some areas of the villa, although it offers several wifi spots within the resort, but still weak

My favorite among all hotels during my entire trip in Okinawa. Everything is excellent in this hotel and yes...! The owner or host can cook very very well!!! Free usage of laundry machine and you can hang on the windy roof top for dry. Free simple breakfast and free flow of non alcoholic drinks!!! Bravo!

The single room is livable. The reviews say the dormitory room is terrible, but I must say that I killed a visible bug after squeezing it for two days. If you have the budget, I suggest you increase the price a bit, remove all the carpets, update the mattress to a bigger size, and clean it thoroughly.

Close to the airport, close to the fish market, convenient for motorists. Our family of four stayed for two nights and the facilities were very adequate. Only the bathroom in the main building would be better if there were signs.

10 minutes walk to American village , there are coffee and convenience stores nearby, the hotel charge extra fee for car Parking 1000¥ /day , there is not watching machine in hotel room, you need to go downstairs for laundry. The front desk services are from 3pm till 12 midnight . Overall good experience.

Very clean and well organised. The guest house is kept spotless and has all that you may need. From the rooms which are very well organised and each person has his unique space kind of like a small room to himself, to the temperature of the aircon, which too often is kept very low, whereas here it is kept cool but not freezing. The service is very good, there is always someone in reception from 7AM to 11PM and they are always ready to help. Toilets are super clean and well kept, and you are given 2 towels daily for you to use. Also, if you stay more than 5 nights, you get a new set of bedsheets to use (you have to change them on your own). The kitchen is very well equipped and if you want to cook, they have all the necessary tools. Also, the common room is very well displayed, it is cosy and a nice space to socialize. An additional room to hang to dry wet clothes is outside of the back entry and can be very handy after a day at the seaside. Overall, one of the best guesthouses I have been in during my trip in Japan.

旅館位於離島碼頭步行10分鐘左右的距離，附近也有一間APA 酒店。樓下沒有便利店，略為不便（最近的在730 court 那邊），但旅館門口就有2台自動售賣機。旅館非常整潔乾淨，房屋也很舒適，但始終是有點細，有行李箱可能會比較難開。房間內有電視、冷氣、掛衣架。店主能說很基本的英語，所以溝通也基本ok。設備方面，旅館只有2間淋浴間，另外如果沒有自備毛巾，需收100日元來租用。旅館有公用廚房、也有好幾台洗衣乾衣機。旅館門口有幾個停車位，應該要預先跟店主預約才可以停。總體而言是值得推薦的 budget 住宿地方。

They stayed near the Ahren Beach Beach, and we stayed in the room with tatami, fighting more than one night with the plates. I do not say that the room was dirty, it is probably a problem spread in the island, as the owner told us that provided us with a spray, but finding a plate in the bed really makes impression. We had to come back with a day before, because of a thyphon, and the structure had told us that it would reimburse us the night lost, but that we should have written on trip. With our customer service we made two requests, both deleted from the structure that did not keep the word. They are also inaccessible, we tried by email, Instagram and Messenger, but we never got a answer.

The hotel had a great location, in between Sesoko island and Motobu Genki Village. Several restaurants and izakayas were in walking proximity, as well as convenience stores and even a bakery. I was in luck and got an apartment on the top floor with a view facing the ocean. The hotel was clean and my room well equipped. There is a breakfast and lunch spot right next door, and there is also a vending machine for various drinks just outside. The manager and the staff were oh so helpful and polite. Good to know - after 20:00 the main entrance is shut, but guests can still access the building through a side door with their room key. Super positive experience!

It's a really nice place and comes fully equipped, including a washer with detergent and a spacious balcony for air drying clothes. The toiletries and amenities are also great, and even the toilet paper is good quality, not thin or flimsy. You can occasionally hear sounds from the corridor, but they are brief and not very disruptive. There is no street noise, very quiet. However, if you book a second floor room, you will need to carry your luggage up the stairs. Free parking is available. The location is a short walk to the town area and public market, and about a seven minute walk to the bus stop. Before check in, you need to call the property to get the door code, as there are usually no staff on site, you could do it via app so it is fre. This may be inconvenient for some guests. I recommend calling in advance, as they do not always pick up immediately.
