"I usually never bother to write reviews for accommodations, but after having a simple lunch for over 100 RMB in Huaqiangbei today, I suddenly felt compelled to review the Qiyou Hostel where I'm staying. For just 88 RMB a night, it's not only clean, comfortable, and has warm, attentive service, but it's truly a condensed five-star hotel experience. The lobby is spacious and bright, and they offer free freshly ground coffee – yes, free! Many five-star hotels I've stayed in don't even offer complimentary freshly ground coffee! They also have free tea, direct-drink hot and cold water, and separate male and female rest areas. The guests all seem very respectful; the lounge area is really quiet. The sleeping pods are incredibly comfortable too; the bed is spacious enough, there's air conditioning, a locker for personal items, and hooks to hang things. Everyone in the sleeping area also has a locker that can fit a large suitcase. The lovely front desk staff told me that if I have a lot of luggage, I can store it in their baggage room. They have a wide selection of books available for free loan. In the evenings, you'll see groups of guests sitting in the lobby, chatting softly – many foreigners, men and women, old and young, all looking very relaxed. Besides not providing disposable toiletries, they offer everything else a star-rated hotel would. Oh, and you can buy toiletries and other common necessities from the vending machine in the lobby, and the prices are very reasonable. You can tell the owner genuinely cares. Highly recommend!"

"The facilities are excellent, and the location next to Jinsha Park is lively in the evenings. There's a commercial street next to the park, making it convenient for dining and shopping. The bathrooms are very clean, but the hostel doesn't have curtains; it would be better if the business owners could install them."

"The hostel is friendly and there are lots of international guests. The staff were kind and very helpful. The location is great, with popular tourist sites nearby - maybe 20min walk from Beijing street and a 5min walk to the metro. The female 4-bed dorm room was nice, with a spacious and comfortable bed with a curtain, and a cupboard/locker each, and aircon. The lobby/communal area was colourful and quirky with a pool table and lots of chairs and tables. It was a bit messy in some areas with piles/boxes around, and the kitchen was quite dirty and always had food and dishes left out and in the sink so I didn’t feel very comfortable using it. There is a washing machine to use for a small fee but when I was there most of the coat hangers and places to hang clothes were taken so it can be difficult to find places to dry clothes. Overall it was good but I wish some of the guests would be more thoughtful and respectful of others."

"What initially seemed expensive but turned out to be an incredible value after experiencing it? Look no further! The designer must be someone with rich life experience, because every detail hit the nail on the head 💗. He Ping Hostel is now my top choice for accommodation whenever I travel ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ The bunk beds, lockers, and bathroom areas are all cleverly separated. This design is truly brilliant! Plus, the room doors are soundproof, so you won't disturb anyone when handling luggage or using the restroom. There's also ample space around the bunks to move around. This is what a true youth hostel should be like, not some cramped shared apartment situation 😖. **Facilities:** The mattress is so comfortable, I can lie flat all night without feeling any soreness! The bedding is also very thick and super cozy! Although it's bunk beds, the frames are sturdy, so a simple turn won't make noise. There's even a separate changing room in the dorm, which is very convenient for changing clothes. They have washing machines, dryers, and an outdoor drying area. The common area is very spacious with several tables. **Cleanliness:** The rooms and bathrooms are very clean, and the aunties come to clean the bathrooms every morning. The showers and toilets are separate individual cubicles, both with their own exhaust fans 👍🏻. The movable faucet in the toilet – anyone who likes to keep things extra clean or lives in a humid climate will understand the value of this design ⭐. **Environment:** All the different functions are in separate areas, so they don't interfere with each other. They even have air conditioning in the hair-drying area, which is so thoughtful ❤️❤️❤️! Transportation is very convenient, just a few hundred meters from the subway station, and the bus stop is even closer. It's located right on the main street, not down an alley, which feels safe ✅. **Service:** The front desk lady was incredibly gentle and detailed in her introduction to me, much appreciated 🌹🌹🌹. Upon check-in, you receive a toiletries bag with a bath towel, toothbrush and toothpaste, and earpl. This bag is also super convenient for packing clothes – I love it 💕! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and love everything about it 💞💞💞. Personally, I think they're doing a fantastic job right now, and I hope the business prospers and continues to operate for a long time to come 😘."

"This place is fantastic! I stayed here for a week, experiencing their king-size bed, a four-person dorm, and a capsule. The four-person dorm was very quiet; everyone was considerate and kept noise to a minimum. The mattress seemed a bit saggy from previous use, but overall, it's a minor flaw. The lockers are absolutely amazing! They're super spacious, with plenty of room underneath too. My 30-inch suitcase, which doesn't fit in most places, slid in easily here. Plus, the staff are incredibly friendly! Any issues I had were immediately resolved. Staying here genuinely made me feel so happy!"

"Very pleasant stay here! I requested for a room with a table and chair and they very pleasantly provided me a much bigger room then the one I booked. The location is quite good, very near Gongbei port. The staff are quite nice and friendly and let me extend my check-out. Only downside is the hotel doesn't seem very clean / it was not properly cleaned before I stayed."

"We recently stayed here for two months for a business trip with about 10 people. It took my boss 2-3 days to find this hostel, and we were all really happy with it. It's quiet yet conveniently located. The common area is super comfortable, and the shower water pressure is great and relaxing. The owner even provided good quality shower gel, shampoo, and toilet paper. The washing machine and dryer were reasonably priced to use. Honestly, it felt just like staying in a mid-range hotel, and the cleanliness of the bedding even surpassed some! The owner was always accommodating and helpful. A big thank you to the owner for taking care of us for a whole month. I specifically wanted to leave this good review to commend them."

"This is the best hostel I've stayed at since choosing to travel solo. The location is superb, right opposite the subway station, just a two-minute walk away. The front desk staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. You have to change into slippers before entering the sleeping areas, and the common lounge is very cozy. There are six shower stalls in the washroom, so you rarely have to queue. Basic toiletries are provided for free. Plus, the cat is super affectionate; it jumped right onto my lap for some serious petting!"

"Environment: Decent. Location: Super convenient for getting around. If you head straight out and slightly to the left, you can find Jide Sweet Soup and Chenchen Beef Skewers. A fifteen-minute walk to the right takes you to a food street with lots of great eats. I highly recommend Ruru Glutinous Rice, Pork Blood Soup, and a breakfast spot next to Lao Wu Sweet Soup—their Guozhi and Guotiao are delicious, and the braised intestines are amazing, as are their eggs. It was a lucky find! Cleanliness: Very clean! You're not allowed to eat or drink in the rooms, which shows the owner is serious about running a proper hostel. The slippers are washed and disinfected daily, and you have to change shoes when you enter, so it's spotless. I wanted to check out the rooftop on the fourth floor, but it was under renovation, so I'll save that for next time. The building itself is older, but overall it's clean and comfortable. By the way, taking the 105 bus to Nan'ao Island is easy, but I'd suggest getting to the stop the owner recommended early, or starting from the first stop, as seats can sometimes be hard to come by. All in all, a great place! Price: Very budget-friendly for solo travelers. Oh, and remember to bring your own toiletries; it would be nice if they provided them."

"There are plenty of tables and chairs in the common area, easily enough for everyone, along with three or four two-person sofas facing each other. The washbasins have mirrors, and there are about five or six showers, which is perfectly sufficient. I rarely have to queue when I go to wash up. The dorm room itself is quite spacious, and the bed is wide and well-ventilated from both sides. This location is right in a 'Red Culture' district, and the walk in is well-lit, making me feel very safe. The path is straightforward, not winding at all, and easy to find. You can take the subway to Changgang Station, Exit C1, and you don't even need to cross the road to get here – very convenient. Overall, it's fantastic! The atmosphere is great too; everyone respects each other's space and it's quite harmonious. Plus, I booked a 6-person dorm, and the front desk lady upgraded me to a 4-person dorm for free! ❤️❤️❤️ The only minor downsides are that the bathroom is a bit narrow and stuffy, and it can feel a little warm around the washbasins and showers during peak bathing times. The aisle by the lockers is a bit tight, and there's no elevator, so you have to carry luggage up to the second floor (though the front desk lady helped me, so it wasn't a big issue). For food delivery, you need to go downstairs from the second floor to pick it up outside the main entrance; if it's hot, you need to grab it quickly as it can't sit for long. The soundproofing is neither good nor bad, just average, meaning if someone in the next room accidentally bumps your side of the bed frame, you'll hear it. Also, there are two drying areas: one with two long metal rods above the washing machine, and another in the dorm hallway. Both are indoors and quite large, so it's not really an issue. Apart from these minor points, there are no other drawbacks."
