"I arrived in Datong on a whim and booked this hostel last minute. I stayed in the 12-bed dorm which is a large dorm with a small table and chairs, lockers, a sink to brush your teeth/wash your face and a private bathroom (with a hot water shower and toilet). The beds were comfy and have curtains and the airconditioning is strong. WiFi works well too. The dorm and the bathroom are cleaned every day. The hostel provides face towels, earplugs, toothbrushes and toilet paper. There is a comfortable lounge area just outside of the dorms. It is really a great hostel, but there is one negative aspect, the private bathroom: the glass is semi-see through (which isn’t too bad since there are just women in the room), but it lets through all the noise and light. So when somebody goes to the toilet and turns on the light the whole room lights up which even with the curtains closed will disturb your sleep. Also, the toilet flush is very loud so every time somebody flushes the toilet it can be heard through the entire room which again disturbs sleep. If you’re a deep sleeper or don’t mind wearing ear plugs then I can definitely recommend the hostel!"

"For the price, it was everything you need! Clean spaces, comfortable capsule bed, drinking water, towels and shower slippers. The location is a 20 minute bike ride away from the ancient city center, but there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby. The hostel provides earplugs which significantly increase comfort of sleep, as the floors are quite squeaky. I am very happy with my stay and would come back again!"

"This hostel is very good! Friendly service and all help with questions. The location is also good, located a stone's throw from the city wall. Historical building with nice decorations. Friendly house dog that comes to meet you barking happily."

"I came to Datong and stayed here for three days. Downstairs is the antique street of the ancient city. It is very close to Huayan Temple. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. It is a youth hostel run by an old couple with a very good attitude. There are also two big oranges in the store, one is a relative and the other is aloof, which is very nice~"

"This was my solo vacation, and the only stop on my itinerary in Datong was a youth hostel. Although it's called a youth hostel, there's a reason I chose to extend my stay. The price-performance ratio was extremely good; considering the overall accommodation price and the hostel's facilities, I found it quite satisfactory. Booking through a third-party platform, an eight-person male dorm was about 35 yuan per night, and it even had a special offer for military personnel (see picture for details). The welcome package upon check-in was generous, including shower gel, shampoo, laundry detergent, bottled water, disposable toothbrush and toothpaste (though I didn't use these), disposable towels, and earplugs—everything you needed! I could even use the washing machine during my stay, and surprisingly, there was a dryer too—a big plus! Personal shoes weren't allowed in the room, which prevented any unpleasant odors. However, it's worth noting that you need to bring your own gloves and three-piece set, and be aware that your roommate might snore, engage in nighttime activities, or even be mindful of your belongings. Consider these factors before checking in. Overall, I personally think this youth hostel is very good."

"The first time I stayed in the Youth Hostel, it was a very good experience. It was late, but it was enough for me to sleep well for one night. The boss was very enthusiastic, knowing that I had to get up early the next day to catch the car, so I didn't have to clean up the bed anymore. Health and environment are very good"

"There is no location and environment in Changzhi's high-end community. The transportation is very convenient. There are many delicious foods nearby. The Youth Hostel is very spacious. The facilities are complete. There is also a cute family kitten. The boss is a bit i but very enthusiastic. I will not hesitate to ask Changzhi for delicious and fun. I will give pertinent suggestions and help. I stayed for 3 nights. Always comfortable, come back again!"
