The location is just ok, i haven't done so much turism there but ia a bit far from the center, the capsule is very good and they clean everything everyday. There's no stuff there so I had to ask for help to a guy just walking through the street to get in as I needed a code and they weren't answering me throw the app, tried to call them but hunged up when I talked in English.. but a part from that everything was good!

Very good youth hostel, sorry, I ate spicy food in the room, the smell may not go away in winter, the boss noticed and brought me a bath towel and hung up my clothes, so good 🥹, I will choose this youth hostel next time I come to Datong!!! Environment: I lived in 3.4 Day, and I chose this youth hostel mainly because this hostel receives girls and feels safer. The youth hostel is in the community. Hygiene: I don't know how often the store's hygiene is cleaned up, and I personally feel that the floor is a bit dusty. Service: The owner's sister is very good. At noon, I was afraid that I could not check out on time. My sister said it was okay and didn't worry. Facilities: The air conditioner in the store is broken, there is an electric fan, you can blow the hair. I am not very afraid of heat and feel good. Location: The location is better, close to Shanxi Museum, Bronze Museum and other attractions, about 30 minutes by bus. There are restaurants such as sheep mowing, Xiaolongbao shop, good women's help and other restaurants near the Youth Hostel, and it is convenient to eat.

I had a wonderful stay here! It's a period house, and the amenities are in keeping with that, but I didn't find it uncomfortable, and I lacked nothing. I particularly enjoyed the interior courtyard, which is ideal for relaxing. The owners are very kind and have an adorable dog who enthusiastically welcomes you and escorts you around the village. The location is also ideal, right in the old town, near the main attractions and just steps from the entrance (very convenient when arriving with luggage).

Although the room is not big, the bathroom is very convenient in the room. The lady boss is super nice and handles all problems immediately. If there are mosquitoes, they will provide electronic mosquito coils immediately, and if you need a hair dryer, they will be provided immediately! In Datong Ancient Town, it is very convenient to go to many attractions. The ancient city itself does not charge extra fees. Only the larger attractions will charge additional tickets. It is very convenient to eat/shopping. However, you cannot rent bicycles in the ancient city. It’s particularly interesting to communicate with other bedmates and get first-hand information. In particular, there is a shaved noodle shop on the second floor that is particularly delicious! The first floor is a Hanfu rental shop!

Very good youth travel, good environment, good health, 24 hours hot water, convenient transportation, downstairs is the bus station, all kinds of food, the boss and the housekeeper are very good, next time I go to Taiyuan, I will definitely stay here.

Outstanding
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. There is quite a bit to see around Lingqiu, and I should have stayed one extra night or two. Miss Liu (刘小姐), the front receptionist, was extremely helpful, even going all the way to accompany me to the bus stop to catch the bus heading to the Pingxingguan Battle site. Miss Liu also assisted with booking a cab for my visit to the Jueshan Pagoda. This famous Pagoda was founded before England was established by William the Conqueror (if I am wrong, then pardon me, but the Pagoda was built sometime before 1077 A.D. during the Northern Wei Dynasty). Miss Liu also directed me to the gravesite of King Wu of the Northern Wei Dynasty which is right in downtown Lingqiu. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. One restaurant, next door to the right of the hotel, serves a wondering braised fish; the other a few doors away, sells delicious meat pies. My room was professionally cleaned and serviced daily. The hotel even allows me to doze off on the reception floor sofa to await my night train to Beijing. I will return to this hotel if I return to Lingqiu.

The hotel is a great value for money! It's right in the old city center, close to the main attractions within the city and close to the buses, which will take you to the further ones (Hanging Temple and Yungang Grottoes). The rooms not only have an ac to keep you warm during the chilly nights, but also a heated mattress on the bed! Wonderfully cozy 😁! The minus of my room was that the toilet was so tiny, that I could barely close the door and I'm rather short (164cm). Currently the window view was not stunning, as it's a big construction place, but well, that's not the hotels fault and will change soon 🙂. The owners are a lovely elderly couple and there's also a kitty to greet you there 😁! It might be tricky to find the place: it's on the third floor of a building which you enter by a shop with traditional Chinese clothing for rent. Second floor is a photo studio. Despite of the few inconveniences, I'd really highly recommend this place if you are travelling to Datong! 😊

This is a pretty basic hotel, as one would expect for the price. But the location is very decent, not far at all from the old city, facing the river, and surrounded by bbq restaurants. Check in was pretty easy, which is not always a given when you're a foreigner staying at a cheap hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I have to mark it down for the large stain on the bedroom wall, however. And the windows are very thin. My room backed on to a square with people playing games and chatting from the early hours of the morning, and there was no relief from the sound. My bathroom also had an odd corridor to nowhere. Not a complaint, just a little odd!

The owner was very helpfull. I needed glue for some papers and he did everything to get it for me. Location is very close to the station en room was very nice! Thanks a lot for helping me out!

The location is the best, you can have the subway and bus by walking distance. Food is also easy to get, and also shopping centers. I won't forget how helpful and kind the staff are. He always greets you, even after they finish cleaning your room. They even try to use your language which is very appreciated 👍 the room is clean and enough for me. I would come back once I go for solo traveling again in Taiyuan. Thanks for the hospitality Huan Huan Hotel 🙏☺️

I came here just to climb Mount Hengshan. After comparing many accommodations online, this one is the most satisfactory in terms of price/performance ratio. The owner seems to have many friends 🤣. Because I came out alone, I didn't know how to go the next day until 10 o'clock in the evening before the planned climb (I heard that the route to Mount Hengshan is extremely complicated). I just sat in the lobby for a while, and then I found two like-minded partners. The journey was a pleasant surprise. The landlord and driver chartered a car for us. I was sitting in the passenger seat and saw a beautiful view, so I took out my phone to take a photo. Then the boss deliberately slowed down the driving speed so that I would not miss the beautiful view. The two partners are senior travel experts. They will do their homework on each attraction in advance, and they seem to be able to tell the name of every flower and grass wherever they go (I seem to have got mixed up in ignorance Free tour guide explanation), listening to them talk about the mountains and rivers they saw along the way. I originally planned to stop after climbing the Five Mountains (Datong was the last stop of my trip), but I began to yearn for it again. On the way back at night, we said in the car that we liked Xu Song's songs very much, so the landlord brother thoughtfully asked me to change Jay Chou's song list to Xu Song's song list. Just like that, I returned to the hostel with the harvest of climbing the Five Mountains, listening to my favorite songs. The dormitory was very clean and the roommates were very nice. After returning, I chatted with the new friends in the lobby for a long time, and I could also taste the landlord's tea, the tea brewed by the traveler's brother, and play with the landlord's cat. After returning to the dormitory, I could talk with my roommates again. To be honest, I haven't talked with people like in school for a long time. Thank you for letting me relive the happiness of being able to talk about family matters again. Finally, because the bus was at around 1:00 p.m., after visiting the Yungang Grottoes, I returned to the hostel and ordered takeout, but it was not delivered until 12:50. The thoughtful landlady told me the travel time and route so as not to miss the bus. I didn't expect that the cross-bridge rice noodles would be spilled 🤣. The landlady also cleaned up the mess for me. She was afraid that I would miss the bus, so she helped wipe the table and throw away the garbage. It was a very warm and touching two nights of accommodation. Datong is really beautiful. There are many places I didn't go. It's a pity that something happened at home, otherwise I really want to stay a few more nights. I highly recommend Amway, Qianyu Green Island, Datong's home for travellers.
