GGuest UserWe was very disappointed but appreciated you get what u pay for however started bad on a day when pouring rain I couldn't get in had to phone by time lady arrived I'd moved car and was soaked. The next thing I discover have to go outside up some wet slippery steps to find even more steps I have arthritis my friend partially sited if I'd known this id not booked. Someone had left window open carpet was soaked and futon not made lady told me normally they didn't put adult in futon and I found out why all I could feel was bars .I slept on floor,. We wanted to go get food in cafe part but discovered it was closed all we had was cheap horrible instant sachets so out we went in rain to find food.my friend had to be escourt down stone steps. Bathroom sink was badly cracked and no plug. And heating wouldn't go on. Breakfast was OK but bacon was cooked to chips and toast rock hard and to be honest staff didn't really care when I returned key they was in huddle chatting not one said goodbye sorry

GGuest UserA nice hotel, well located to visit Banbury with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.
Also this weekend there was a fair on the park grounds, near the canal, which was nice to look around.
The hotel was 17th century with plenty of character. The staff were friendly and also let us know there was an event on Saturday night, so might be noisier than usual. But we didn't have a problem with that.
The room was a good size, although an attic room, a bit hot, as had old windows and secondary DG so didn't let much air in, also a bit of noise from the main road. We were just unlucky with the room.
We ate in the restaurant and the food was very nice and tasty and the staff were friendly and efficient.
All in all a good stay, just unfortunate about the room.

GGuest Uservery nice boutique hotel with a good bar and restaurant below. The room nice, clean, minimalist but good furniture and decent shower. Only one complaint - if you are not a fan of capsule coffee (and I am definitely not) and you just want a cup of tea, it's a pain to have to google the coffee machine to work out how to use it when just a simple kettle would have been fine. Just 4 for the location because of the chaos at the Botley road bridge which is going on till this time next year at least! Lovely breakfast menu with good service.

GGuest UserWe were attending a wedding in Oxford and the city centre hotels were very expensive. The reviews for the Black Boy were good so we booked. It was a joy to stay here and we had a fabulous weekend.. Great location - about 10 mins in taxi from centre and bus stop about 5 mins or so walk. Buses went to the city centre and railway station. The room was lovely, as were the welcoming staff. Breakfasts were very good and the pub had a nice atmosphere and an outside garden area. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Oxford.

GGuest UserMy partner and I had a lovely stay at The George. Lovely dinner - good range on the menu including lots of alcohol free drink options. The bed was really comfortable and it was a lovely cozy room with great amenities.
Lovely location - Dorchester is beautiful! We loved the community farm just up the road with a lovely cafe and alpacas among others. Lovely countryside surrounding Dorchester and lovely cycle route to Oxford on the NCR5.
Thanks George Hotel for a lovely stay!

AAnonymous UserA fantastic experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and full of character, with views of the street. Breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect—peaceful and picturesque, yet close to the main sights. We would love to come back and recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

AAnonymous UserThe room environment is good, the restaurant waiter is very bad, the drink is not forced to take it out or lose it on the spot, we can't put it away, we can't drink it, we have come 2 times in a row, and then the meal has not been finished. I have been asking for the meal. The whole restaurant is British. As far as we are a table of Chinese people, people feel discriminated against. It is obvious that there are emotional treatments. There are several hotels of the same type around. This hotel is strongly not recommended.

GGuest UserClose to the station and Oxford University, walking attractions are all done. The breakfast is rich and affordable. The room is also very good, spacious and comfortable. The only two dissatisfaction: 1. The old house has no elevator, there is a suitcase to move upstairs, the stairs are particularly narrow. 2. The front desk has to press the credit card 💳. I was afraid of being stolen and wanted to press cash to be rejected. I couldn't stay without giving him a visa credit card message. I was deadlocked for a while. I used the elderly card to press the message and locked the card directly. I don't know why it is so rigid.

HH. WongThe location of the hotel is excellent. It is in the centre of town where there are plenty of shops. The staff is helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom are spacious and well stocked with toiletries.
