There are plenty of convenience stores, affordable restaurants, and tuk-tuk stops nearby. It's also a very practical starting point for Angkor Wat tours. Atmosphere and Vibe: As its name suggests, it offers a relaxed and social environment. The common areas feature hammocks, board games, and a small bar. In the evenings, travelers gather and chat, creating a great opportunity for solo travelers to socialize. The noise level is moderate; it's fun but not overly party-focused. Rooms and Cleanliness: - Dorm rooms are spacious, beds are separated by curtains, and each bed has a personal power outlet and light. - Lockers are provided for security, which is sufficient. - Shared bathrooms are regularly cleaned, and hot water is available. - Both air conditioning and fans are available; AC rooms are more comfortable during the hot season. "This is a fantastic, very large hostel. It boasts two swimming pools and a bar. Both the rooms and common restrooms are spotless, and the mattresses and bedding are clean too. Its central location, right next to the bar street and pedestrian street, is a huge plus. The hostel also arranges tuk-tuk tours to major attractions, which is super convenient, hassle-free, and affordable. The 24-hour front desk and dining services are excellent, with staff who are enthusiastic, readily switch languages, and carefully explain all the activities. There are even free Cambodian song and dance performances by the pool at night, which guests from all over the world rave about! A special thanks to the front desk attendant who provided a free locker lock for me – that thoughtful service really touched me!"

"What a relief to find such a nice hostel, it almost feels like a hotel. The people at the reception greet you everyday. We had the breakfast included, which was nice and simple. You have a few options where you can chose from and they make it fresh. The pool is nice and peacefull. After they cleaned our room, the housekeeping left the window open, which resulted in a mosquito invasion. That was a one time experience, which may just be a mistake of the housekeeping. In any case, you have a nice bed with a nice bathroom. The shower was really nice! We booked 2 days extra, but the guy at the reception was not very friendly. Another customer arrived while I was talking to him. The guy from the reception switched, which I experienced as insulting. Overall experience: Excellent price to quality! Would definitely recommend!"

"It's about a 10-minute walk from the Old Market, and just the right location away from the hustle and bustle. The staff were very friendly, the price was cheap, and the accommodation was very clean. I'll stay here again if I have the chance, and I'll recommend it to friends who are going to Siem Reap. Also, the cats are cute."

"From my experience, I really recommend this place for Gen Z travelers who want to stay with their friends in a dorm style room. The location is great right in the city and very close to Pub Street, which makes it super convenient for going out. There’s also an entertainment room that I really liked, perfect for relaxing and having fun with friends. The service is also very good I truly appreciate the staff for being kind and helpful. It can be a bit noisy sometimes, probably because of the location and other guests, and you can hear sounds from the neighboring rooms. But overall, it’s a fun, comfortable, and convenient place to stay if you don’t mind a little noise!"

"I stayed at Mad Monkey Siem Reap and honestly had a really fun experience. The vibe is super social and it’s very easy to meet new people, especially if you’re traveling solo. There are daily events, a pool area, and a bar where everyone hangs out, so it never feels boring. The location is great — just a short walk to Pub Street and the night market, which makes it really convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they made the atmosphere even better. The rooms were decent and clean for a backpacker hostel. It can get a little loud at night because it’s a social place, but that’s kind of expected. If you want to party, meet people, and enjoy Siem Reap, this is a good choice. If you’re looking for something super quiet and private, maybe not. "It’s a nice little hostel, it’s perfect for backpacks, solo travelers, small families or people who are just stopping by. I came here right before Khmer New Years and stayed for 3 nights in a little single room. The price is affordable, especially for those who are traveling on a budget. Despite the low pricing, the room was up to standards, it was clean and had everything I needed. The location was convenient, it was close to the main area of Siem Reap and a large short 20 minutes distance from Angkor Wat. Because it is further from the party district, I was able to get a quiet night sleep. The restaurant had a mix of Cambodian and Western foods. The staff were friendly, informative, helpful and welcoming. They spoke English and available 24/7. I would stop by here the next time I’m planning on having a short term stay in Siem Reap!"
