"This hotel is in a very convenient location, right next to the famous 'First Building' restaurant. It's also just a seven to eight-minute walk to the Gulou Night Market. The hotel even upgraded me to a family room... which unexpectedly came with one large bed and one standard bed, both with Mickey Mouse bedding. The room was quite clean, but the lighting was really dim. It was hard to even apply foundation properly, I couldn't tell where I'd missed a spot. The bathroom door was also awkwardly placed; when open, it blocked the sink. 🤣 Surprisingly, the hotel also offers a late-night snack service with beer. The front desk area was quite lively at night with guests going to get mini wontons. However, you can only redeem them after 10 PM, and the front desk seemed understaffed, so it was a bit chaotic during redemption. Breakfast is on the 6th floor. It had all the usual offerings, including noodles and mini wontons, but the taste was just average, and the milk wasn't very good. The front desk on the seventh floor also provides traditional costumes for guests to borrow and take photos. Upon checkout, I even received a souvenir. Overall, it was decent. The main reason I chose it was for the convenience on my last day; I planned to visit an attraction in the morning, then eat at the 'First Building' restaurant, and it was handy to pick up my luggage right next door afterwards."

"This hotel was a stopover on our way to Wanxian Mountain, so I didn't have high expectations. The facilities are relatively new and well-equipped, so overall it was decent. There's no dedicated parking; cars have to be parked on the sidewalk in front of the hotel. The cleanliness was good, meeting the standard for a typical budget hotel. There are plenty of dining options nearby, and its roadside location makes it convenient. Although it's on a main street, the noise at night wasn't an issue, so the stay was relatively quiet. However, the service experience was quite poor, which led to the low rating: 1. When parking, I was worried I wouldn't be able to open the trunk, so I took two suitcases out of the car first and asked the security guard and my travel companion to go ahead while I parked. The security guard just dumped the suitcases at the entrance and went back to his post, not even bothering to help carry them to the front desk. His service awareness was extremely poor. 2. Even though I booked the hotel for 2026 on Ctrip, I was still required to pay an additional 200 RMB deposit, which is quite unusual. 3. The two complimentary bottles of water in the room were small, and we finished them on the first night. The next morning, I asked the front desk for two more. Having stayed in numerous hotels, I've never encountered a situation where extra water was charged. Even if there's a charge, it should be communicated in advance or clearly priced in the room. Instead, the hotel directly deducted it from the deposit and didn't confirm it with me when checking out. The process was extremely unprofessional."

"Summary: This hotel was chosen blindly. Aside from its good location and friendly staff, all other facilities were subpar. Pros: The location was decent, close to several attractions and surrounded by cosmetic shops. While the view from the window wasn't great, the room was relatively large. Cons: The soundproofing was terrible. I could hear the TV and conversations from next door; it was extremely poorly soundproofed. I was also unlucky; the first night, a bunch of inconsiderate people next door played cards all night, making it feel like I was sleeping in a card room, which meant I didn't sleep a wink. Also, the shower in the room had very low water pressure and weak flow, making it impossible to wash my hair. It was repaired once but never fixed. For a hotel with a bathhouse, the shower facilities were extremely inadequate. I originally booked for three nights, but after two nights, I couldn't stand it anymore and switched hotels."
