"This was a truly satisfying stay. Before checking in, I had visited Shirakawa-go and was a little disappointed not to see any snow. But then, on my first morning at the hotel, I pulled back the curtains to find it snowing heavily! It was absolutely amazing. I decided right then and there not to go anywhere and just enjoy the snow from the hotel. The hotel is a bit older, but the room was clean and tidy. I had upgraded my room, and it wasn't small at all. The area mentioned in the description probably just refers to the room itself, but the entryway was also very spacious, allowing me to easily open my large luggage. The indoor balcony in front was also quite large, perfect for a family to sit and enjoy the snow. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct mountain views, with the river flowing right below. The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the restaurant lobby were even more stunning – it was wonderful to enjoy the snow while dining. Even the outdoor onsen provided beautiful views of the snow and river while soaking. The best part was how few people there were; both times, it was just me and my daughter, so there was no need to book a private onsen. Behind the hotel, there's a walking trail. We explored it that day, and while the heavy snow made it a bit challenging to walk, it was incredibly beautiful and completely deserted. Every photo we took was a scenic masterpiece. Our shoes and socks got wet on the way back, but thankfully, we didn't feel cold. There are convenience stores and supermarkets nearby, making it very convenient to buy food and other necessities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The staff were also very friendly. Although most of them didn't speak English, they used translation software, so communication was just a bit slow."

"Another unforgettable hot spring trip! This time I booked the Bailezhuang Hotel in Tangyong Hot Spring Village in the mountains near Jinyu in advance. One berth and two meals are the classic Japanese hot spring hotel gameplay. The so-called two meals are the dinner on the night of stay and the breakfast on the next day. From the soup opposite Bailezhuang, I changed from the hotel. It snowed heavily that day, and there was a little more meaning in the snow. The hotel welcoming brother saw the guests coming close, and he quickly ran out to welcome the guests with an umbrella, leaving a good first impression. After entering the seat, kneel and present welcome drinks and desserts, very thoughtful. At the same time, the extra seafood for dinner - local crabs, should be recommended in the season, so it cost an extra 50,000 yen to take it down. (This should not be a must, regular dinner is included in the room rate) The room has a private soup (the size of a bathtub), which is said to be semi-open-air in fact indoors. The snow scene gives the room a big bonus, and the window is as pure and white as a painting. Compared with other hot spring hotels, this public soup is small and located on the second floor. There are two small pools for men and women, one indoor and one outdoor, which is slightly stingy. But fortunately, the number of hotel rooms is small and there are not many guests crowded. The hotel is also equipped with a recreation room, with billiards, table tennis and moths. The equipment is not bad, it is very good in the package."

"The hotel rooms are rather dated, especially the toilets and bathrooms! However, the views from the rooms, lobby, and large public bath are unbeatable—endless ocean views! The lobby offers free alcohol flow, including draft beer, sake, plum wine, red and white wine, etc.! There are also various snacks, vanilla ice cream, and ramen for guests to enjoy in the lobby in the evening! The dinner and breakfast buffets are excellent, with a wide variety and delicious flavors! Unlike traditional hot spring inns, the service isn't as attentive; it's more self-service. But other amenities and catering are plentiful!"

"This is my go-to hotel whenever I visit Kaga Onsen in Komatsu; I've stayed here a total of five times. That's how satisfied I am with their service, the quality of their hot springs, and the variety of food they offer. They even provide unlimited snacks, onsen eggs, drinks, and potatoes throughout the day, which is so good you barely need a full meal. There are three different hot spring baths, and since they operate on a rotating schedule for men and women, you get to experience all the different tubs. The facilities are well-maintained and spotless. I highly recommend it! The staff are all incredibly friendly, giving you a true taste of Japanese hospitality."

"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."

"This onsen is a popular place for Japanese tourists. We were nearly the only westerners there. It was a real cultural experience for us. The staff were very welcoming and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner. We went there to relax and experience the onsen. Our room was comfortable and clean with a great view of the forest valley. We were constantly surprised at the extras that were available. There is a well maintained games room, the teas available after bathing and drinks in the lobby area. We also made use of the free electric bikes to explore the area. They bathing areas, male and female, has 3 baths, a cold bath and sauna. We are now big fans of onsen bathing. If you are wanting a different experience to the city I would highly recommend this onsen."

"Great location, just 500 meters from the train station. The twin room was spacious and even had a massage chair. However, the hotel generally feels a bit old and could use a renovation, even though the plumbing in the room works fine and the furniture is in good condition. Breakfast is a choice between a European or Japanese set meal. You can help yourself to unlimited vegetables, yogurt, juices, tea, and coffee. The restaurant only serves breakfast and late-night ramen (from 9:30 PM); you can't have lunch or dinner at the hotel."
