Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Abingdon, VA

The young man that checked us in was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The young lady that checked us out made us feel appreciated. The breakfast was good and we are now on our way to stay at a Country Inn and Suites in Winchester, Va!

Great location, right off I-81 - across the street from a Cracker Barrel and down the street from a Walmart with a Gas Center. The staff always speak to you and are very friendly. Loved the room layout and appreciated the refrigerator and microwave.

Visit was only one night as we were traveling across the country with our pet. Accommodations were good. My only complaint is that the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable.

This hotel has some serious sound proofing needs. I would not stay here again. On the plus side, Will was an exceptionally good employee, friendly, professional and responsive

Loud clicking noise for a long time. Waited for a long time without anyone acknowledging me. They were busy trying to see why someone did not get a credit card for a previous guest. I understand that ia frustrating, but 5 people do not need be looking at the computer while a new guest is waiting to check in.

This was the first time traveling with our 9 month old golden doodle. The room had vinyl floors which we appreciate, was on the dirt floor which is important when traveling with a pet, and was very clean. Our concierge, Will, was friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a pleasant overnight stay.

The room was fine except the smoke alarm was going off periodically. Hotel attendant got us another room (suite) very quickly. However, the fact that this was resolved quickly and the desk person knew about the issue suggested this was not the first time this issue had occurred. Glad this issue was resolved quickly.

This was my first time staying with this brand. I was very pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The bathroom was the gem, specious and clean. I loved the walk in shower as I have a torn ACL and it was just far more pleasant for me. The bed was the most comfortable for any hotel I’ve stayed at. I actually got an amazing night of sleep for once, not normal for me at a hotel. The TV could easily be connected to a Roku device for more viewing options. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous and seemed happy to be at work. And breakfast had a good amount of options. The only three things I have minor (emphasis on minor) complaints about were the brand texts to my phone, I think there was an option to opt-out of those so I will next time. And the doors were difficult to open with the keycard. It took multiple tries every time I left my room to open the door upon return. The air conditioning unit also did not work and made a lot of noise with unplugging it being the only option. But it was fine, the room was still a comfortable temperature. Overall, with this being my one and only experience I will definitely be a return customer in the future.

William Scott, the gentleman at the front desk, was wonderful! So helpful and friendly.... and made us feel immediately welcome and appreciated. I recommend a serious raise for this young man! Dianne Shaw
