We had an amazing experience from start to finish. Every member of staff was efficient, professional and friendly. I had the unfortunate need to see the nurse during my stay (that’ll teach me to phys whilst on holiday) and had at least 3 members of staff assist me with this. Nothing was too much trouble. The nurse was knowledgeable and calming, gave immediate and useful help to assist me with ensuring the rest of my stay was comfortable. First rate. Over and above. As was Melis, who had already been helpful and approachable with assisting us at the front desk, helping us with activities (tennis, a la carte etc) but went the extra mile with assisting me with my injury and making sure I was well cared for. No matter where we saw her on a day to day basis, she was always helping someone and smiling. The guys behind the front desk were equally helpful. I didn’t get their names but there were three younger gentlemen who were all efficient, knowledgable and helpful. The buffet food catered for a varied palate and there was always enough of it. As the week got busier and towards the end of the sitting, it maybe took more effort to replenish but it was always done efficiently and if asked, there was always someone on hand to help. All buffet staff were efficient, professional and friendly (which, in this area particularly, I have to give great credit to them because the way some guests would speak and treat the staff was quite frankly disgusting but their smiles never faltered - well done!). Side note rant about guests (skip to the next paragraph) - but may explain some negative reviews you may encounter here. Be wary of complaints taken out of context. Some guests obviously have unreasonable expectations, and liked the sound of their own voice. Taking pics of a dirty plate for eg that had clearly been washed but as we all have probably encountered at home, had stubborn stains which the dishwasher couldn’t remove, so take it from the pile, set it aside and take one of the other hundreds of clean plates! These would be the first people no doubt to complain about slow service if staff had to individually check the probably thousands of pieces of crockery to pick out the one or two the dishwasher missed, or spent their time doing that rather than replenishing food (one quote “I’ve asked you for some orange, now I want you to go and get me some”, in ref to the finite, I imagine, freshly squeezed orange at breakfast, turning up 30 mins before close of breakfast, being frankly rude and obnoxious to not one, but two members of staff trying to assist him - maybe go and get some juice from the full juice dispensers containing 4 types of juice (yes from concentrate but seriously) by the bar - have some understanding and compassion for your fellow humans people!! For all inclusive of maybe £600 -750 p.p. have a little dignity! Show some respect! We booked an excursion through your desk which we enjoyed very much. The gentleman who booked us was very informat
