We stayed in the suite with jacuzzi, a brilliant self-contained space tastefully decorated and furnished with quality. The garden is large, with a couple of hammocks and the jacuzzi, which was very welcome after a couple of days of strenuous mountain hikes. We had fresh pomegranates from the garden every day. Arold and Alienka are perfect hosts, warm and welcoming and ever available to provide additional information and excellent local tips. Arold's breakfasts, served on a beautiful rooftop terrace, are an inventive delight and he served my wife the best gluten free pancakes she has ever had, as well as managing to give her gluten free bread that actually tasted delicious. A culinary genius. They clearly love their vocation and really enhance the holiday experience. The hotel is in a lovely peaceful location, surrounded by quaint narrow streets. (If you are thinking of hiring a car I'd recommend something small. Our hire car had multiple dents and heavy scratches). We went to four restaurants in the village, all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and all were very good. For fine dining, at reasonable prices, we especially loved La Vicaria. The closest restaurant, whose name escapes me, is run by a lovely, but bonkers, guy who serves local Canarian cuisine, basically whatever he fancies and has available, whilst happily chuntering away in Spanish despite being aware that we didn't speak the language. Good fun with excellent food. So, a perfect holiday in a perfect hotel in a perfect location. We hope to be able to return.

The closest restaurant, whose name escapes me, is run by a lovely, but bonkers, guy who serves local Canarian cuisine, basically whatever he fancies and has available, whilst happily chuntering away in Spanish despite being aware that we didn't speak the language. Good fun with excellent food. So, a perfect holiday in a perfect hotel in a perfect location. We hope to be able to return.

We stayed in the suite with jacuzzi, a brilliant self-contained space tastefully decorated and furnished with quality. The garden is large, with a couple of hammocks and the jacuzzi, which was very welcome after a couple of days of strenuous mountain hikes. We had fresh pomegranates from the garden every day. Arold and Alienka are perfect hosts, warm and welcoming and ever available to provide additional information and excellent local tips. Arold's breakfasts, served on a beautiful rooftop terrace, are an inventive delight and he served my wife the best gluten free pancakes she has ever had, as well as managing to give her gluten free bread that actually tasted delicious. A culinary genius. They clearly love their vocation and really enhance the holiday experience. The hotel is in a lovely peaceful location, surrounded by quaint narrow streets. (If you are thinking of hiring a car I'd recommend something small. Our hire car had multiple dents and heavy scratches). We went to four restaurants in the village, all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel, and all were very good. For fine dining, at reasonable prices, we especially loved La Vicaria.
