Overall myself and my partner had a very good stay and enjoyed ourselves at the hotel but there were a few things that we feel need improving to further benefit future guests’ stay. The staff were all very friendly and greeted you with a smile every time they went past. The animation (entertainment) team were always encouraging people to take part in a wide variety of activities and made them fun and inclusive for all. They would often come around and speak to us by the seating area, we got to know a few of them quite well too (particularly Reva). There were plenty of activities on offer, a 10 Dinar refundable deposit is needed for some of the equipment needed for certain activities (eg: ping pong). Having the beach just at the back of the resort was also ideal, with the option of either spending time by the pools or the sea. We also can’t praise our Server enough (Khalil), we sat in his section the first night and then continued to for the rest of the time we were there, he would regularly top up our drinks when running low, and was very attentive to keeping his section clean and organised. Even though you can go up and help yourself to hot drinks at the machines, it would be nice if guests could help themselves to cold drinks and not wait on the Server as when it is busy, it may take a while to get a refill. Even if this is a small station with 1 member of staff to serve drinks this may be beneficial at certain times of each meal window. The variety of drinks included in the all inclusive service is sufficient, and there are some cocktails that cost extra if you fancy. There are a few things to be aware of when staying here; the guests are mainly French and German so learning some common phrases in these languages may be beneficial. This may also tie into not all staff knowing English (it’s not a native language in the country). There were also quite a few people on site trying to sell you things (eg: henna tattoos, photography, boat trips, quad bikes, watersports) and we often felt pressured and harassed, they would even approach us when we were just lounging on the sun beds or eating. Another thing is that we found the hotel a bit run down in places (eg: cracked tiles, chipped paint, etc), with some maintenance and refurbishment needed. We think the photos they have on the TUI website were a bit deceiving of the reality of the place and could do with an update. Some of these photos are not of the general areas you would see or use on a daily basis as well so a change there would aid future guests in knowing what they’ll see and experience. We had noticed that a large group of young teenagers (in surplus of 100) had arrived and stayed for a dance convention and schools collaboration from a few overseas countries as well as Tunisian groups for 5 days, but we found them very disruptive, disgusting and rude. The large groups they moved around the facility in were constantly causing noise, mess and havoc. To summarise it, their behaviour

It's a lovely hotel with great pools and beach area. There are (payable) water sports at the beach. We went parasailing for 40€ for the two of us, which we thought good value. Sun loungers and cushions are supplied free but it's nice to tip the guy if he brings cushions specifically for you. 1 or 2 tdn is enough. Regarding beach towels... leave a deposit of 10 tdn per towel with reception wherein they give you a token. This is exchanged at the animation booth for a towel. You can refresh your towel every morning after 9.30am. Before final departure, leave your towel with animation staff and ask for the token back. Then cash in the token at main reception. Works well. The resort staff are really nice. Not all spoke English but that wasn't a problem as we also speak French. We generally tipped the waiting staff 1 tdn each time they brought us drinks but it's not compulsory . We tipped our room maid 5€ on the first day and she was always very pleasant with us. We'd booked a standard room but it seemed very large. The air-conditioning worked well and there was a fridge. There was also a safe in the wardrobe which was great when leaving valuables in the room. The room was very clean but looking rather tired, like it needed renovating. But the bed was comfortable and it had blackout curtains on the glass doors which was useful to keep out the morning sun. Food...As is to be expected, it's mass catering and self service. The food is varied and plentiful. If you want to experience new foods you can. If you want pizza and chips every day that's also possible (sad but possible. Lol) There are fresh omelettes or fried eggs made to order in the mornings. There's also a traditional Tunisian restaurant which is waiter service and you are allowed to book once during the holiday. I honestly wouldn't bother. The food was average and the fish main course was awful. Totally overcooked and dry. The waiter was rushing us, obviously the chef wanted to pack up for the evening and just dumped the plates in front of us, without explaining what they were. There was no choice of menu other than fish or meat main course. I suffered from a poorly tummy but I can't say it was the food for sure. My husband was fine. When out and about everywhere accepted £ and € as well as Tdn so don't get too much foreign currency as you can't take it home and the airport exchange rate wasn't great. We got a taxi into Port El Kantouai for 6 Tdn each way (approx 2€) which was great value. There are various boat trips to chose from. We went on a Catamaran trip (The Albatross) which I'd highly recommend. Overall I'd say it was a great holiday, albeit not a four star hotel in our opinion. We wouldn't go there again as there are so many places to see, but good value for money and we had fun.

Arrived at hotel after 10pm and check in was swift. Were offered some food and a drink but declined. Bar is open 24/7. There is an ATM machine in the reception area so we were able to change some currency to pay holiday tax and tip the porter who took us to our room, As requested the room had a walk in shower and a balcony (third floor). Easy lift to all floors. Everywhere clean and employees all friendly and attentive. Breakfast was plentiful with choice of fresh cooked Omelettes, Pancakes and lovely flat bread. Usual cereals, fruit juice and continental selection of fruits, meats, cheeses, salads and pastries. There were coffee machines, lovely fresh Tunisian coffee along with hot milk and hot water for the tea drinkers. We tipped our waiter 5 - 10 dinar about £1.25 - £2.50 . Dinner was varied with fresh fish cooked most days on the grill. Other meats and vegetables there too. Plenty of salads and crusty bread, with the addition of the usual variety of desserts, fruits and ice-cream. The same waiter from breakfast had a table waiting for us. Asked for our drink order and brought back a bottle of wine and a bottle of water. A short walk past the many tennis courts, along past the quiet pool then onto the beach. We easily found two beds and a parasol. Beach guy assisted with padded toppers. The pool waiter came around and brought us a bottle of water and a beer. Very refreshing on a warm day. There are people selling items along the shore line, but they accept a no thank you quite readily. Plenty of water sports available at cost if you are into that. The quiet pool was large and easily accessed via steps at one end. We were able to find beds there without a problem, however it was early June and the hotel not full. We didn't bother with the entertainment so cannot comment on it. Took a trip to the marina in Taxi from just outside the gates. Price agreed before we got in taxi (10 TDN). 10 minute ride and worth a visit. We had no complaints but have been to Tunisia before and knew what to expect. There are areas which would benefit from some maintenance however these did not affect the experience. We went for rest and relax in the sun and that's what we had.

This hotel needs a few touch ups but that's all I can fault with this hotel everything else was amazing the food was delicious and there was a lot of choices even if your a picky eater, from breakfast to dinner there is something for you, the waiters were amazing and are always about when you need them. The entertainment team are incredible and was very good with my 4 year old they love to get the children involved with what they are doing but also the adults as well, There is one main pool with music and entertainment and a bar and not far from that is the 2 kids pools you also have a quieter pool that 2 mins from hotel with bar as well and also the beach I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Tunisia!

Great hotel, rooms very spacious and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is good and the animations team are brilliant along with the bar staff and cleaners. Its are first time in Tunisia and we will definitely be coming back.

A fantastic hotel with wonderful staff, especially the animation team. Shout out to Sam, Franco, Kouki, Tito, Ahmed, and Riva. The hotel offers delicious food, beautiful white beaches with blue sea, and lovely pools! We are so satisfied!
