Grand Uysal Beach & Spa Hotel

We just spent 10 days here as a family of 6. The first night we were placed in two unsuitable rooms & had to share a double bed between 3 people & spend our first day moving rooms again. The biggest disappointment with this hotel was the insane prices the hotel 'Market Shop' charged the guests. Whilst seemingly friendly he charged 1400 turkish lira for 2 pool floats that were sold around the corner at a local market for 400 lira maximum. Not only that they deflated the first day because what we then discovered was that he would pay you a small fee to hand them back in at the end of your stay so the majority were second hand! As a hotel guest I would of expected you to vet the prices your guests were charged to ensure they were taken care of & understood a basic figure of what things cost locally but instead he made prices up on the spot & expensive ones at that. The food overall was great, lots of choice & the restaurant staff were brilliant! They worked incredibly hard. Same as the life guards, pool workers & maids. The male pool bar staff however were rude, barely acknowledged your existence but thankfully there was a lady who was much friendlier that worked during the day. My husband experienced 2 days of severe sickness & diahorrea which left him bed bound we also found one of the workers in the shop had it too & similarly we all had low levels of stomach ache here. We never ate or drank outside of the hotel so make of that what you will. The maid service was great, very friendly & I felt the overall cleanliness was exceptional here. I can't fault that. I also found the beach towel service great too. The animation team was quite abysmal and overall hotel entertainment was lacking compared to the hotel next door, I also found it disturbing that I placed my 7yr old into the kids club just to find she had walked straight out the door with no intervention so that was the last time she attended there. The best price we were charged for a taxi into Alanya was 250 lira, the most expensive was 600 lira so ask for a price before you take a ride. Finally we did celebrate Turkish night here on the 30th August & the staff put on a great display! The atmosphere was by far the best we'd experienced all holiday. Overall a 3 star hotel at best.

This was our first time visiting turkey with children aged 5,10 and 13. Firstly the hotel is very well maintained, clean and modern! Rooms are cleaned daily, towels changed every other day and the housekeepers are always around cleaning. Bar and restaurant staff work incredibly hard and always smiling. The lady with curly hair in the pool bar is very friendly and chatty. There is a young lad who works beside the pool always cleaning, working hard and the first to say good morning! There’s a ***** or shops, restaurants about 10’minute walk (bazar) cheap little bits, bags Purdue’s etc Food - we have had no problem, something different every night, always bbq food, salad bar, kids buffet. Deserts are delicious!! I would highly recommend the hotel to families and couples. The lifeguard is amazing with children, he took our little one under his wing gave him a lifeguard T-shirt and let him work with him for the day! The photographer is fab! Takes some amazing photos and not expensive either. We couldn’t have picked a better hotel! Thank you everyone for a great experience

The hotel itself is ok. The problem was the rooms were not cleaned properly or everyday. Towels are changed every 3 days so you can only imagine the chaos when you have kids! Food was mid at best. The food is adequate but no variety really especially for kids. I personally enjoyed it though but it could do with variety. Staff were amazing and very friendly. Except one day manager, the lady I found was rude to everyone including her staff so it’s not personal. She refused to speak to guests and would relay messages via her staff even though you could see her in the office which is by the reception. It didn’t make sense. She would resort to shouting at staff which I found disrespectful as they really were absolutely wonderful people and tried to help everyone despite language barriers. The rooms themselves could do with updating. The one we had some of the lights were falling off the ceiling etc, towels changed every 3 days and not thoroughly cleaned so there were times we had to figure out what to do with sand that the children dragged in from the beach!! The beach is absolutely gorgeous!!! It’s something to experience! There is a lot of staff selling their products etc like tattoos, photography etc and will ferry you to places etc. this bit was rather expensive for me and they will hound you till you say yes. So I learnt quickly to say no. All in all despite some of these issues we had an amazing time.

Het personeel in hotel is heel erg vriendelijk eten is erg goed en uitgebreid zee is nog minuut lopen...we been here before corona... staff amazing Mehmet, Esma very kind and helpfull. We will sure to come back. Thank you very much guys. You are the best i ever seen

Had an amazing time. Location was great only 300tl to the city 5 mins down the road. Food was lovely and had a nice variety every day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Entertainment around the pool. The entertainment at night was lacking which is why I gave 4 stars and not 5. Hotel was very clean and there was plenty of sunbeds we disnt struggle at all to get 4 beds no matter the time.

So what can I say about this hotel. It has the potential to be something great but it unfortunately misses the mark to be truly 4 star experience. So what’s good and what’s bad. The pros - Hotel is located in a great area of Alanya. It has its own access to beach area and a shared bar with another hotel that allows you to order only soft drinks. I’m guessing that that’s the deal that was made with the bar because they do have alcohol and food on offer. The hotel is very clean. They always seem to be someone cleaning the marble floors which is very good. All in all the hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious and there is room service everyday. My room was only missed once out of my 7 day trip. The shower is big but had a slight leaking problem but I’d say all in all it was good. The food I found to be quite good you have plenty here, Menu is very meat heavy but very understandable. A great salad bar and bakery section with loads of breads. There also was a very nice dessert section. If you’re not fussy you will find something good every day. The pool area has a great snack bar throughout the day offering burgers, chips and cakes in the afternoons. Make sure to lookout for the ice cream bar that serves between the hours of 15:00-16:30. The cons - The entertainment was very hit and miss and if you stay for a few days you might think that this hotel has some of the poorest entertainment. So out of the 7 day stay there was Karaoke at least 2 of the nights. One of the night they just played a CD as the entertainment. Entertainment is set between the hours of 9-10 and they are very quick at ending at that time. I will say this we had three good nights where they had an African dance group doing acrobatics and a belly dancer and traditional dancing that could have easily happened on the same night. One night we had 3 belly dancers and probably one of the most entertaining nights as they had people from the crowd get involved. Most evenings started with the animation team doing the same dance with the kids then followed by one of the above mentioned activities. The animation team are very poor never once approached by any of the team some look to seem to not want to be there. Every morning they seem to do the same dance routine at the pool that was very cringe worthy. They need to do better here as there are smaller hotels that do a much better job here. They have games by the pool and even what looks to be like a raffle in the evening but if you don’t hang by the pool be prepared not to be involved in any of these. I’d advise that this team interact more with the guests, walk more around the entire hotel more. A hotel of this size could do with a few more team members. WiFi is not free throughout the hotel. You only able to get free WiFi in the lobby. If you want it around the hotel and your room you have to buy a WiFi access card that is either 1 day, 2 day, 7 days or 14day pass. For example the hotel 7 day pass would set you back €

Absolutely enjoyed are stay at this hotel no issues at all food staff and cleaning fantastic we will be returning 2025 most definitely... Everywhere close. The weather is fantastic 👌 Animation also fantastic. The staff very polite and helpful 👍

First day we arrived under the impression we were getting sea view bedroom , room was not sea view more side sea view. This may be advertise issue with company we booked. We spoke with hotel manager and guest relation manger who made us feel very welcome and cared for. Provided extra care due to this inconvenience not caused by them. The bed was not the best as could feel some springs coming thru first night rest could have been better, after I mentioned this to them, they made it much more comfortable and bed was extra comfy after adjustment made , Over all experience was fantastic great food good staff and entertainment. Hotel looks really well done and clean. Only down fall is that when you sleeping and other guest wake up before you do or go to bed after you soo and if they use water taps the noise of the taps comes thru the walls. Almost like the pressure is to high but this noise goes away when the tap is fully turned on rather then just a little bit. The hotel cleaner lady always made very nice romantic towel decoration which was a nice touch and made us feel very cared for . Staff are very friendly and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible.
