Was charged double for security deposit. Said it was only $100.00 but was charged $200.00. Hopefully they rectify it. Everything else was great about the stay

While the service of the front desk was more than fine, even with the delayed check in, the room quality was a little bit lacking for the price that was paid. The toilet bowl lid was loose and the lights were lacking throughout the room. I also, as a smoker, did not like how there was not at least a somewhat designated smoking area except outside a Starbucks. It feels very out of place and not very safe for the area.
While I was happy with the stay for the most part, I may try to stay elsewhere before coming here again. The service is great for front desk

When we arrived, the desk staff was unfriendly. When we arrived to our room, we noticed that there was no shampoo or lotion. When we inquired, they just said--'all we have is conditioner'. We went to use the exercise room: the peloton, elliptical and both of the two treadmills were broken. Even the medicine balls were broken. When we checked out, there was coffee and hot water near the registratio desk. Coincidentally or not, the hot water was cold. Just a final indication of a pathetic stay.

The sports bar is missing a good menu variety the service is horrible. Since this restaurant is servecing the visitors that come to the Albany Medical Center should have better food & service for the visitors there.
Really bad quality food & service.

I only had a night stay in this hotel. I was very impressed and happy with my stay. I need to come back to Albany in the Spring for another conference weekend and will definitely be staying again.

Like: Location, Dining Options about 5 mins drive, Convenience, Easy Parking
Dislike: The Hotel needs to modernize the aesthetic / decor of the rooms. Feels as if I walked into the 90's

Not very clean, no bags in the garbage can. Very noisy, staff not friendly. Someone on my floor up till 230 am banging their door open and closing

I generally like Hilton Garden Inns and they are usually my first choice when traveling. However, I didn't care for this one and won't stay there again. Unlike most other Hilton Garden Inns, this really wasn't a "garden-style" hotel. It was a high-rise with underground parking. The lobby wasn't on the first floor. You had to take an elevator up to the second floor to check in. And you had to use your room key to access floors. It was also in a congested area. None of these qualities are positives, for me. Despite all of that, upon entering I was pleased to find a Starbucks conveniently located in the same building -- on the first floor, as well as a restaurant. But my pleasure quickly turned to disappointment my first morning when I went to the Starbucks at opening time, only to find an employee sitting on the floor, locked outside, because whoever was supposed to open had overslept and wouldn't be arriving for another hour and a half. As for the restaurant that was on the first floor, it was basically a sports bar with a limited menu of food that turned out to be mediocre, at best. But, I guess when you're traveling and tired, it'll do in a pinch.
