Just arrived back, and have mixed feelings about our stay at Mariners Club. So the good things are: The staff are great, very hardworking and friendly in general, the pool is great, little shallow bit for toddlers, mini fountains in the middle, and nicely lit at night with people in there up til midnight ! Reception area pleasant enough, games room etc. sheets and towels seems to be changed every 2 or 3 days during our stay, and bins emptied. We had some wasps on our balcony which got dealt with straight away. There was entertainment of sorts most nights. Some shops and a few restaurants/bars about 4 min walk away. The down sides: Room was quite small, and no separate room, so adults and our teenager together, not a big deal, but some privacy would have been good. The loungers had people throwing towels on the night before so there were rarely any available by morning unless you played the same game, despite a sign in reception asking not to do this, it wasn't enforced at all. Often the day was full of empty sunbeds with towels on. The food was OK, but not the best, so we ate out most days except breakfast. The aircon was another €40, and wifi €10, no biggie, but could be included. The beach is nearly a 15 minute walk, so a bit of a slog with towels, inflatables etc. The better restaurants were around a 10 minute walk. It was good value, and important things like cleanliness and service were good, but not sure I'd stay there again, as the location is right on the edge of the Alcudia area, so always a fair stroll to get around. I'd look to stay near the port, as it's near the beach, the old town and all the better food and shop options.
