Alert Bay Cabins

Forget it, booked pre covid and when the province closed down travel they kept our full payment. Guess they figure nothing they can do about well Epic fail. Total scam. Making sure everyone one I know hears about their business practises. Lots of other accomidations in the area to give your business to.

Very clean and comfortable cabins with an ocean view from the front and a meadow view with trees out the bedroom windows. It was so quiet and peaceful! We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen to make our meals and we enjoyed sitting on the front porch after dinner to have a tea. The U'Mista Cultural Centre is very interesting, and we hiked many of the trails on the island. I would highly recommend these cabins!

Booked and paid for a 2 night stay in Nov 2019 , then Covid struck and travel was impossible even more so to FN areas. At first was told we could rebook, so that was good, Now being told that rebooking was only valid until May 2020. So we lost our money . Epic fail in times of covid, you do the right thing and people take advantage. Note to owners recreational travel was forbidden in May 2020 So the saga continues. Checked my Travelzoo account and the vouch is marked "redeemed". So someone has my money. When this began Travel Zoo told told us that only the owner could make the changes, there was nothing Travelzoo would do due to Covid. According to the TravelZoo site This voucher (“Voucher”) is issued by the hotel or merchant named above (“Merchant”), who is solely responsible for honoring this Voucher in accordance with its terms. We have an emaii from you pushing the date off till May , but the entire province was closed to recreational travel in May.

Alert Bay cabins are very clean, Chris and the ladies who take car of the cabins are very friendly and attentive to the cabins. linens are clean bed comfortable full kitchen allows you to make a meal. Ocean views and location is extremely quite and peaceful if you are in Alert bay check out the cabins before you book anywhere else. we have stayed here before but this time we are here for a longer period.

These are great clean, quiet accommodations. The staff are friendly and gave us helpful suggestions about the island. It is located on a hill providing a beautiful view of the ocean. Two of us were travelling with a family of four, they had a double cabin we had a single cabin. For the minimal cost difference I would recommend a double cabin regardless if it's just two people. More space, better view of the ocean and a picnic table outside which we used daily. Although our single cabin had a window of a forest in the back. There are fully equipped kitchens which are needed as restaurants are limited on the island.

Beautiful comfy cozy, beautiful view. Beautiful community and the Culture is Amazing. I recommend to family friends and business partners. Friendly kind people in Alert Bay Tip Tip tip. Share these cabins with your friends and family. Summer stays are the best. Always remember to tip ;)
