Auchenheglish Lodges - 7 Lomond Castle

The lodge looked good on the photos, it was far better than the photos could show. A brilliant week in a superb lodge. Our lodge was right on the banks of Loch Lomond, any closer and we would have had wet feet. Well equipped a welcome pack including a nice bottle of white cooling in the fridge. The place was just superb. There are a number of lodges, we found one to meat our needs, there is probably one for most people/families/groups. It was so good we have just come back and booked for next year. Is there a better way to so great?

Brilliant cottage. Very clean and well equipped, even a bottle of wine left for us in the fridge! The view from the large window to Loch Lomond was extraordinary and changed by the minutes. Fabulous walks right from the cottage. Our second visit here and we would definitely return again. Loved it!

We had a fantastic stay at Hollybank Lodge for my partner’s birthday. It is a gorgeous 1 bed lodge with stunning views across Loch Lomond. The standard of accommodation was beautiful and the little touches such as the prosecco, gin, chambord, along with cheese and biscuits were just perfect! We used the hot tub every night and it was fabulous! Word of warning though…. it turned my blonde hair green at the ends due to the chlorine (had always thought that was a fable) so be careful to properly tie your hair up! The included membership to Cameron House spa and golf was brilliant! We used both and really enjoyed it. The only consideration I would give is that the landscaping is getting high around the lodge and it will block the beautiful view if not trimmed back soon. Additionally, a couple of heavy blankets would have been a perfect addition to allow us to sit on the outside rocking seats at night and watch the stars. It’s relatively pricey but absolutely worth it! A fantastic weekend away. We will definitely return and will try their other lodges too.

Stayed at Hollybank House for my 50th birthday celebrations. Wow is the only word to describe this amazing house. Beautiful views over Loch Lomond on to Ben Lomond, hot tub, the decor, the kitchen facilities, the bedrooms in fact everything was just perfect, I also now think I'll be splashing out on Matthew Williamson fragrance sticks. Thoroughly recommend this property for luxury, relaxing experience. It also has very friendly Robins who come to visit who I will miss also.

You need to update your site/ page. The photos show what we actually got. We were not notified that building work was taking place. When we enquired about access to the beach we were told our beach was over the wall. Access? Not unless I were an acrobat!

We’ve just returned from a fantastic week at Ferry Point. Absolutely stunning property with outstanding views of the water. The property had everything we needed and more. We’ve made memories that will stay with us forever. Big thank you to Liz, Lynn and Graham, so kind and accommodating to us all with great local knowledge of places to visit and dine. Highly recommended, 5 stars!!!!

We have just returned from an amazing week staying in the beautiful Heron Lodge. This is a couples hideaway situated on the water front of Loch Lomond, it has stunning views for miles and the sunrises and sunsets are just breathtaking. The lodge is all you dreamed of when you want to escape to your holiday retreat with all the comforts that you have at home and more. On the deck with a glass of wine or tea watching the sea plane, regular visits from a family of swans, rabbits and an otter! What more could anyone want.....Food! Area for a BBQ and fully fitted kitchen. The Wee Cruin takeaway was lovely friendly staff cooking fresh food to order and you could even get homemade cake and icecream too. Midges were not so much of a problem, we used citronella candles and incence sticks which kept them at bay. A huge thank you goes out to Liz and Wendy. Liz was very understanding and accomodating when we had to change the date in 2021 due to covid. Wendy was just amazing, on hand for any queries and looked after us throughout our stay. You have to go to this place it is what dreams are made of and completed a perfect week with our Son's wedding at the Cruin. Happy holidays

We stayed at Hollybank House for my sisters 50th birthday with just 8 of us and it was a wonderful experience. From the initial impressions through the security controlled entry gate to the sweeping views of Loch Lomond from every bedroom, this was very much a special place to come. Our welcome pack didn’t just include the basics, but freezer stocked with plenty ice, freshly baked bread and a choice of fruit juices were waiting for us in the massive kitchen as well as a bottle of fizz and chocolates (it coincided with Valentines day!) The decor is stunning and the attention to detail in every room is just amazing. Every room had its own theme and we had the wonderful wolf bedroom with panoramic wrap round views over the hot tub and Loch. We had a bath tub that looked out over the Loch also which was a lovely touch. Separate towels for the hot tub and a drying room for all our boots and jackets (needed in February) was very handy. The kitchen was better equipped than my own and had everything we needed for our long weekend - we had planned to eat in every night and with a choice of a round table in the kitchen or the huge dining table with baby grand in the dining room, we were spoilt for choice. As well as the hot tub and walks right on our doorstep, we had board games, a pool table, Sonos sound system and tvs in every room with a PlayStation in the main living room too so all the kids were catered for. I noticed they had high chairs and cots in the storage area so well set up for all ages. They even had smaller dressing gowns for the kids which they loved. My sister and I also used the complimentary use of Cameron House Spa which was a welcome respite from the kids although it is a few miles down the road from Hollybank so you do need to use your own transport. All in all we had an amazing weekend - this wonderful house has something for everyone. When we had a wee issue with the automated blinds in one of the bedrooms, a quick phone call and it was all sorted plus we had a visit from the manager on the day we left to make sure everything had been to our liking. We didn’t get to make the most of the decking area and BBQ due to the weather but I think a return visit during the warmer months is definitely on the cards. Would highly recommend this house for a friends or family get together - it really was magical!

Stayed at Bonnie Banks Cottage for a week with family and it was fantastic. We have been staying in holiday cottages for over 15 years and I can honestly say this is right up there with the best properties. Sometimes when something is described as ‘luxury’ it ends up meaning it has a posh kettle and toaster set but this actually lives up to the word. It was spotless on arrival, well equipped and spacious. The area is, of course, amazing. We managed to complete four Munros in a week and what a treat to be able to rest the aching legs in a hot tub! On a rest day it was only 5 minutes to pop to the Loch Lomond Shores (which isn’t amazing but pleasant enough) or up the road to Luss. I really can’t find fault with the place. If you stay at Bonnie Banks you won’t regret it.
