We have visited the hotel twice, and sorry to say - we will never come back. The hotel has some loyalty clubs – which we joined at our previous stay. At that time this was new to everybody, and the hotel had a hard time explaining the rules. Now, 18 months later, they still don’t know how this should work. This time, after complaining several times, we were granted 5% of our stay as promised as “points to be spend at the hotel”. But most of the staff don’t know how it works: We were rejected twice in the bar when trying to use our points, and finally we had to use it in the Spa instead, which was indeed not part of our plans. Even in the Spa, after making an appointment through the reception, we were rejected by the first employee we met. But we ended up being allowed to use our points. During all this, we have tried to get in touch with management. But management in this hotel is invisible, they don’t seem to care about their guests at all. Since our last visit, the hotel has closed their fitness room, the restaurant is (permanently?) closed, the outdoor swimming pool is occupied by ducks – and nobody cares about removing duck droppings in the water. You cannot book any bill from the bar or Spa to your room – nevertheless they demand a credit card upon check in. Should we say something positive – if you play golf, it is close to the golf course, and the employees in the undermanned reception do their best.
