Um Hotel muito acolhedor e sossegado, excelente atendimento, funcionários simpáticos, um bom quarto, pequeno almoço variado, uma boa piscina e com bom estacionamento.

When reading reviews I always find a balanced perspective of the pros and cons helpful, so here goes! Pro’s: •Excellent Location. Walk down the lane straight in front of the hotel reception, take the first right turn and you are in the main area within 3 minutes. •Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. Showers are really nice and plenty of hot water. Aircon system works well. Rooms facing the main road had sunlight from dawn till dusk (pool facing rooms were dark from lunchtime onwards in May). Free safe and a working fridge in the room. •Nice quiet pool area. Con’s: •All of the rooms, with the exception of the premium rooms on floor 4, are small and there is little to no storage. I shared a deluxe double room (with balcony) with a friend and it was very tight for two people. This didn’t bother us too much as we were out all day and night but if you like a spacious room then you certainly need to book a premium. The only storage was a very small open wardrobe that had a handful of hangers and a few shelves. As other people have mentioned, the only full length mirror is located inside the wardrobe, so if you hang clothes you can’t use the mirror. •The hotel feels more like a hostel or a guesthouse, which didn’t bother us too much but if you like a hotel with attentive staff and service then this one is probably not for you. The staff we encountered were friendly when spoken too but they do not go out of their way to share information with guests or to service their needs. For example, our shower flooded the whole bathroom floor one night and when I phoned the reception to request a mop or towels to dry the floor and prevent an accident, the man at reception told me 3 times I should report it to his colleagues at breakfast the next morning. Eventually, when I explained for the 4th time that we needed assistance immediately as the whole bathroom floor was flooded, he reluctantly grunted at me that he would call me back. When he did, he told me to come down to reception for towels- so I trekked down in my pyjamas! I thought that was extremely poor customer service for a hotel, it would have been a nice gesture if he had apologised for the leaking shower and dropped the towels to our room. •Breakfast, in our opinion, was very average and we chose to eat out every morning instead. Clarice’s coffee shop is a 3 minute walk from the hotel- serves incredible food and coffees and the staff there are amazing! However, I will say that there were 4 other people in our group and they all ate breakfast at the hotel and thought it was adequate. The breakfast room resembles a school dinner hall and has no open doors or windows - it was disgustingly hot in May so I’d guess it would be very uncomfortable in the hotter summer months. •Irons are available to rent for a refundable deposit of €20. Guests are required to go to reception each time you need an iron and ironing board, pay your deposit, fill in a form and you must return the iron to reception

This is our second visit to this hotel another fantastic stay.We stayed in a premium room on the fourth floor brilliant room comfortable beds walk in shower massive balcony perfect view of Alvor very impressed.The room and the whole hotel was spotlessly clean.The buffet breakfast very nice lots of choices. The staff were very friendly and helpful a credit to your hotel,what made it more special this time it was my 65th birthday while we we’re staying here and I received a bottle of bubbly and a cake while was a very nice gesture very much appreciated. We would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Alvor and we definitely make a return visit when we can Many thanks 👍

The hotel and property is very basic by modern hotel standards and is starting to look its age. It is not unpleasant or unkempt, it is simply lacking charm and ambience. The location is convenient because it is an easy walk to a full supermarket or to the town of Alvor with its many bars, restaurants and shops. I wouldn't dissuade anyone from staying here, just be prepared for average.

Our third stay at Agua Jardim. Highly recommend for a short stay, but if having a longer holiday you might prefer somewhere more luxurious. There are many varieties of rooms, some don’t have balconies so ensure you check if that’s a priority for you. We had a studio (with small balcony) and a small ‘kitchen’ but it has limited facilities if you plan to cook. We just needed a fridge and kettle with cutlery/plates/bowls so had what we needed. You couldn’t prepare a cooked meal, very few pans or any other essentials. The pool area is fine for a quick swim and sunbathe, but the sun-beds are not comfortable to lay out all day. Usually no problem finding a sun-bed in full sun or shade. Breakfast is complimentary 8-11 everyday and has a nice variety of hot/cold buffet and friendly staff, can’t complain when it’s free. As long as the prices remain competitive, we’ll be back again. Great location and we love Alvor as a resort. Best beach and good restaurants.

Near MotoGP racetrack, even the traffic there was terrible.

2nd short break here this year. We love Alvor and this hotel is in a great location and easy walking distance to the great restaurants and bars in the centre. We had a lovely view from our balcony and the free breakfast was really nice. We upgraded to a deluxe room from a standard this time and it’s worth the extra money for the balcony and extra space (standard is very small). Only negative - the sunbeds around the pool are really uncomfortable - probably why we never had a problem getting one. I’m considering bringing a camping mat for it for future stays - we’ll be back!

My stay here was for one night on a road trip and it was perfectly fine. At first they gave me a room that was on the first floor very close to the road but I didn’t want it and they provided me with another room in the back. Staff was friendly, breakfast was sufficient. I did not use the pool. I did walk down to the little town and had dinner at the Mozambique restaurant which was excellent
