Just below the hotel is the small marina, where the river opens into Vanern. There are possibility for boat trips on Lake Vänern and exciting excursions in beautiful Dalsland. Rather expensive even by Swedish standards and the service in the reception was adequate, but lacking in politeness. A smile would have been nice. The restaurant was pretty nice though with good service and a decent selection of beers.

My grandson and I came there to see where his great grandson parents were from. It is a beautiful landscape. People were very friendly. The hotel was wonderful. A lot of history in the town.

The hotel looks very traditional and I have nothing against that, however, there were some patches on the wall probably to cover scratches, but not properly done, and the bathroom could DEFINITELY use some renovation. I could be sure it was clean, but it did not look fresh at all. Staff was super, super nice!!

Bra hotel som väl lever upp till sina stjärnor. Enkel in- och utcheckning. Praktiskt med restaurang i hotellets absoluta närhet.

Ett trevligt hotell i riktig " stadshotellstil ", med stor entretrappa, högt i tak och med fina gammaldags taklampor.
En mycket bra frukost serveras och personalen är väldigt trevliga.
Ett bra centralt läge gör hotellvistelsen komplett !!!
