The rooms are nicely decorated and the hotel is well located.,Granted, it could have been perfect. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and it seems that the entire house is set up with style and considered with some intelligent tech. features in the rooms. Currently, the house is quite easy to find as two huge construction containers have been deposited right in front of it. Not coincidentally, because renovation work is indeed underway at Maison Elle Amsterdam. The workers start early in the morning and march through the breakfast room as it would have been the most natural thing in the world. Drilling, hammering, and screwing occur unabashedly, as if on a construction site. These works take place just a few meters from the guests who have their breakfast between 8 and 11. The workers behave unashamedly. They talk loudly, whistle, or argue. I'm not sure if this would happen at Maison Elle Paris. Suspending the works until at least after breakfast time was apparently not an option. A simple Paravent or at least a curtain so that guests don't visually notice the works would have been too much either. The absolute minimum would have been a small, discreet sign apologizing for the circumstances. All this has very little to do with le très chic... French art de vivre. Moving on to the next point. The television, which is included in the offer. Unfortunately, it is not connected to any cable or provider. For those who don't bring their own streaming subscription on their phone, it will remain a black screen. Boutique hotel lifestyle ... or simply cost-saving? Some of the staff members seemed to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, totally clumsy and not organized. This house deserves a better management. Now, the question is, will I find something better for a hefty 300 euros per night (breakfast with drilling workers included)? Think so. I will definitely do my best.
