Enjoyed our two night stay this July. High end property, but with some detractions. Going to list the high points and the weak ones: * Beautiful lodge; modern amenities but quaint. Plenty of parking. * Spacious. Uncrowded. Felt like we had the run of the place. * Small but very nice grounds, esp in the back with some wild area abutting. * Very friendly staff. * Nice furnishing / decoration. Comfortable bed & furniture. * Quite a lot of wildlife in area - we saw Elk on property twice. * Breakfast was very good, but not outstanding. Afternoon plate was nice. * 6 miles south of Canon Beach town which we loved (food, shops, activities) - Only slight set-back from US Hwy 101, so you get direct road noise until after 9pm - No direct beach access, but only 200 yards or so away - but you have to cross US 101 on foot or by car and there is no intersection or crosswalk. - Bathroom design odd. Ours had lots of room but no counter space at all. Big step down ledge to tub. Shower water pressure was so-so. - Back patio had little furniture: one bare little metal table, 2 chairs, no umbrella. Couple lawn chairs on grass.... ???? - Room lacked some basics like facial tissue. None on site, asked several times but never received. Apparently no snacks or drinks available other than water and coffee and some wine with the afternoon plate. While we enjoyed our visit I cannot say that the price was justified based on our experience. We stayed at nicer places for the same or less $$$ on this trip. Take the amenities and service up to Four Seasons level, make the back patio a key lounging space would go a long way.
