Llucatx Menorca

We had 7 nights here at the end of August. More an Agriturismo than a 5* hotel, and perfect for a week away to unwind at this charming and comfortable place. Farida and her team looked after us so well and the room was very comfortable. The location was great for us, allowing days by the enormous pool or on the beach and evenings in Mahon, Ciutadella or Fornells. It is early days for Llucatx but we would definitely recommend if you are looking for peace and quiet and tortilla for breakfast!

More an Agriturismo than a 5* hotel. Llucatx is a charming and comfortable place. Farida and her team are so kind + our room was big with a terrace and fridge. Daily cleaning and beach/pool towels available. The pool is great. It’s early days for Llucatx but the friendly welcome was lovely and would definitely recommend for peace, quiet and fresh tortilla for breakfast!

I booked a very last minute four day break to Menorca to celebrate my partners’ birthday from 10th to 14th August. Unfortunately, I couldn’t book my hotel of my choice for the full four days so I settled on two nights at Menorca Experimental and the Llucatx Menorca for our last two nights. I studied the web sites and read reviews carefully and on this basis I paid €823 for two nights in a double premium room, including breakfast at the Llucatx. The Llucatx was more expensive than Menorca Experimental so my expectations were high. Interestingly, Llucatx took the full amount from my credit card on booking whereas Menorca Experimental only took payment on checking out of the hotel. I had decided not to write a review for Llucatx, however, on seeing the owners’ dismissive response to the review from Stijn Nachtergaele, I felt I should. On arrival at Llucatx, the gates were only half open and looked more like the entrance to an industrial estate than a luxury hotel. The reception area was not obvious and when found, there was no one there. A cleaner eventually went to find someone to check us in. The walk from reception to the room clearly demonstrated that the construction work had not been completed. However the room was nice and cool. On further inspection, we found the bed to be rock hard and only a sheet and small lightweight blanket provided. The wardrobe handle came off in my hand! The room fridge contained two cartons of chocolate milk! No water in the room either complimentary or chargeable. The safe in the wardrobe had no batteries, neither did the remote for the TV so unusable. One side of the wardrobe housed a large water tank! Lighting in the room was minimal and it was dark. On the terrace were 2 deck chairs and a small table. The size of the terrace and the price of the room certainly warranted loungers instead of deck chairs! We decided to go and sit by the pool which was equally unimpressive. The paving used was similar to that used for municipal pools and the loungers were old and uncomfortable. With 18 rooms and potentially a minimum of 36 guests there were insufficient beds sun beds for 18 guests let alone 36+! The “connection with nature” promoted on the web site was non existent. The short time we spent trying to relax, the only sounds heard was the traffic on the main road only 100m or so from the pool. The parasols around the pool were of a standard one could buy at Lidl. Additionally, there was no bar by the pool or at the main building to order water or indeed anything else. As this was turning into a somewhat disappointing birthday treat for my partner, I looked up the reviews I had seen before booking the hotel, just in case I had made a mistake! But no, all the reviews were 5 star. I decided to speak to Miguel (from Reception) to inform him that I was not happy with the quality and standard of the hotel and both he and Soraya were excellent in my dealings with them. Fabulous staff and beautiful surroundings will definitely be returning . This new hotel is on the right track to be super successful and wish them all the best they have renovated this farm beautifully

When we arrived at Llucatx hotel on the 6th of August ‘23 the manager immediately informed us that they opened only two days earlier. This was clearly noticeable during our entire stay. There was still a lot of construction work going on which disturbed the overal piece and quiet at the hotel. From the gate to the driveway and more. Many things were still packed in boxes or in plastic. Appliances in the main area, terrace chairs. We spoke to guests where the tv was still in its box when they entered their room. They had the same overall feel and complaints as us. We felt that there was a good marketing push with beautiful photoshoot pictures and well curated website. This included photos of massages and yoga at the property, as well as an elaborate breakfast. All reviews (not verified) on Google or *********** were given several weeks ago, long before the actual opening. They were all perfect 5 star scores which combined with the timing makes it highly impossible that they are in fact real. These reviews combined with the photos were our main reason for booking. The hotel staff did their best and were very friendly but they clearly couldn’t handle the amount of guests. Rooms did not get properly cleaned, the sheets didn’t get changed for an entire week, toilet stayed dirty, the trash bin wasn’t cleaned, etc. We also noticed many of the appliances such as the tv, coffee maker and vault in the room were either not working or didn’t have batteries. These are basic needs every hotel room, regardless of price or rate, should have. This has nothing to do with luxury or comfort. As a last but very important remark we would like to address the issue of the many insects in the room and breakfast area. Our suitcases and clothes were covered in ants, as well as the rug and terrace. At breakfast, we noticed the same problem with ants crawling in the bread baskets. The basic food hygiene was not met and nothing was done to prevent. We hope to see genuine reviews about the guests stay. It’s a pity that the hotel didn’t do a pre-opening to improve all their flaws. We hope the hotel can smoothen their operations and exceed the image of the hotel and marketing

We had a lovely relaxing stay at the hotel with friendly, efficient staff , nice breakfast and pool area. The room was super peaceful and clean. I would recommend this hotel for its great location , quietness in the middle of the countryside yet bit far away from the towns and golf.

Llucatx Menorca est un véritable havre de paix tout en ayant une situation centrale à Minorque. Parfait pour visiter toute l’île. Nombreux restaurants dans un rayon de quelques kilomètres (Fornells, es Mercadal entre autres). La piscine est immense et splendide. Les lits balinais sont bien agréables. Les chambres sont très spacieuses avec une terrasse privée bien aménagée. Le déjeuner pris sur la terrasse façade à la piscine est excellent (tortilla incroyable). Farida est très attentive au moindre besoin de ses hôtes. Nous reviendrons sans hésiter.

Magnifique séjour au Llucatx ! Farida nous a accueilli chaleureusement dans son havre de paix. Que dire.. l’endroit est calme, reposant, en pleine campagne. Les chambres sont décorées avec soin et goût. La piscine est superbe, les lits balinais parfaits. Le petit déjeuner était très bien. Merci beaucoup à Farida et son équipe ! On reviendra sans hésiter
