Seth Sa Mirada

Travelled with family. my girls had amazing time over there. Nice quiet place. mostly families. Supermarket and nice sandy beach just with 5-6 min walking distance. bus stop just outside the reception. £20 euros parasol with2 chair in the beach. easy access to mao city then you can travel any other place. great pool. always clean and just enough parasols and chairs. snack bar have limited items. ( all we needed was ice creams and drinks, they had enough). Staffs were very friendly specially Yasmina. Nothing was too much for her. she is a star. Room is standard 2 bed apart. nothing fancy but good enough. air con in living room. small cooker, fridge etc usual staffs. Didn’t pay 5star hotel price, so can’t expect 5 star service. limited restaurant around and usual bill was 60-70 euros for 4 of us with soft drinks. But if you are looking for nice family holiday, i would definitely recommend them and the area. while we were leaving we decided we will be back again here.

After reading some of the reviews for the hotel I was a little worried about arriving here with my young children. But I shouldn’t have worried at all. Not only was the pool clean and huge but the space around it was perfect for me to watch from the sun beds while they had fun in the pool. The pool bar was great with sangria on tap as well as a few other options for all ages. The view from the pool was great and the apar**ent view we had did look into another apar**ent but behind that was the sea. And to be honest I’d rather see another apar**ent closer to me and have no shade on the pool all day rather than sitting next to a shady pool all holiday. The rooms are big and we had no problems with ants as we followed the rules written out. There’s airconditioning in the living room but nowhere else but that wasn’t a problem while we were there. The apar**ents were a 5-10 walk away (toddler time) from the beach and other great restaurants including Arena, Paella, Midnight, Blue Arenal and Hong Kong. All of which had great options for kids, vegetarians and meat lovers (we’re a mixed bag). So don’t be afraid of the reviews, the apar**ents are lovely, clean and were cleaned twice while we stayed there. Also, if you want a cot, just ask and they’ll bring it right up!

We stayed for 7 nights and were really pleased with it. We had previously stayed at their sister hotel so we knew exactly what to expect. We were greeted with a friendly receptionist on arrival. Our room was clean and spacious, it is basic but it had everything we needed for our stay. We spent a lot of time by the pool which had beautiful views. Would recommend.

The San Mirada isn't great. It's the poor relative of the other Seth hotel in Arenal d'en Castell. Here's the reasons: We arrived in extreme heat and the air condition didn't work. 1st the batteries to operated it had run out (a trip to reception) and then again when the batteries were replaced, it still didn't work and it was like a sauna in our room as the gas had run out (another trip to reception to sort). This should have been tested before we arrived!!!! Basic customer service!!!! The next thing to go wrong was the flush on our loo - 2 trips to reception and they still didn't fix it. When have a young child you obviously have to stay in when they are in bed. The blue couch they put in the room was excruciating uncomfortable so we could sit in and enjoy a quiet drink together so had to sit on our bed. The maids came to clean the room twice in 10 days! They did clean the apar**ent but the bathroom had engraved filth including human hair, unmentionable stains and squashed mosquitos with blood stains left on the walls from a previous resident. The main door lock had been put upside down. The fridge was rusty and and very noisy. There was a safe but no key was left. The signs on the apar**ent were incorrect. When we arrived, we went right to the top of complex to find room 612 and then realised that they'd put the wrong numbers on the front of our apar**ent and had to come all the way back with three cases and hand luggage. The reception area is only open during office hours which is no use for guest needing to use it outside this time. The bar area by the pool is awful and closes at 6pm prompt. The girl running can't be bothered being there and it shows but she does inflict her awful music taste by playing with new r and b music all singing with a voice box constantly being played. Choose something most guests will like not 18 year old only doing the job before going to uni. The restaurant is closed permanently and blinds permanently down. If you want to use the sister Seth hotel you can walk a good 10 mins to do so (not fine) One good thing about this hotel was the view from the apar**ent-great sea views and pool area is good too but not enough sun umbrellas to go around for the amount of sun loungers there. Basic really! I wouldn't stay here again as this hotel is 2 stars not as Tui rate it as 3 stars. It needs some serious attention to bring it up to even 3 star standards. Quite poor really and not a Tui rep in site during you stay to air your feedback.

Excellent location for all that Arenal d'en castell has to offer, only 5 minute walk to beach and resort centre. Apar**ent basic but clean, could do with an update but that being said was fine for our family of 4. Staff really friendly and helpful and only a 2 minute stroll to sister hotel with more amenities. Swimming pool and surrounding area were excellent and we always managed to get sunbeds no matter what time of day. Snack bar was very welcome with a wide selection of drinks,however the food/snack menu was poor with only toasted sandwiches and fries available for our 10 day stay, if that is all available then don't put all the other snacks on the menu! Would definately stay here again though as definately more positive points than little annoyances.

Be aware if you’re booking online they don’t show any accurate pictures of the outside of this property, only the inside. So online on the website they show the apar**ents and pools at the sister hotel, which you have access to but not the Sa Mirada. Only the pool area of the Sa Mirada and apar**ents opposite over a road which is disguised in the pictures and don’t belong to the Sa Mirada. We were beyond disappointed when we arrived as this was a holiday that had been cancelled due to covid and or grandson’s first trip to Spain. The apar**ents are in blocks and some at the top have better views but all are the same inside. We were in 601 which was on the ground floor, next to the road and everyone had to walk passed to access their accommodation! So all day we had noise from cars, buses and people constantly going passed! It was certainly not a peaceful and quiet hillside that was described in the write up. The bus stop was well used and buses stopped and left the engine running plus cars and lorries delivering! 8:00 am the cleaners went past with the trolleys. The noise was constant! The apar**ents are very dated and lack most basic equipment. So I was cutting large oranges with a bread knife, the only sharpish knife. Air conditioning was in the main living room, kitchen area and went into the bedrooms if you left the doors open. Beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Bathroom was very small and dirty! The sink came out over the toilet, the shower was dirty and if you stood on the drain it stuck to your foot. Apar**ent was cleaned once and towels changed once. The rusty old air conditioning unit was on the balcony so you had to turn it off to sit out and also housed the mop, bucket and brush. The pool area was ok but needed a clean and tidy, I had to ask for a dead bird to be removed and there was a dirty broken sun brolly lying there the whole week. New sun parasols were needed. Snack bar was great and staff were friendly and helpful, worked very hard there all day, food was good. We went to the Isla Paraiso apar**ents most days and around the pool area there. It was much better and actually where we thought we were staying in the first place. We always found beds around the arepar part but as usual you have to go early as loads of people put towels down then left them for hours! I was there at 9:00 and sat on the beds, not another sole around but towels on every bed! The main pools were clean but very busy and loads of inflatables were allowed in so took up a lot of room. In my opinion a life guard was needed around that pool. Would recommend the Arena and Good Bridge Cafe for food, highlights of the holiday. Also the supermarket Next2 very close to the apar**ents, which was well stocked and staff were so friendly! We did ask to move as soon as we arrived but were told there was no space anywhere and contacted the tour operators Tui but they were no help. This hotel is located in a great part of the island (north east) and allowed us to see parts of the island that were out of reach to us on other stays further along the island. The apar**ents are no more than a 3*, but that’s what we booked and so not disappointed. There was no kettle in the room when we arrived, but an enquiry at reception soon rectified that and a kettle was already in the room when we returned. Reception and hotel staff all pleasant and friendly. Air con as other reviews only in living room, but definitely cools the whole apar**ent. Kitchenette allows for decent self catering. Shower decent, just make sure not to turn the boiler off in the bathroom (switch with light) or it’ll be cold. Balcony was opposite other apar**ents, probs 25 metres, but we didn’t find this an issue and if you do, you can place you towels on your balcony to allow more privacy. There are curtains to block view into your living room also. The shutters on the bedrooms are great for blocking the light at night. First night we heard furniture above us, like chairs being moved, but didn’t hear it again for the rest of the holiday and there’s was defo someone above us. Pool good size, very clean, has a bar serving drinks only (sister hotel Paraiso has a snack bar). Plenty of sun beds and the views from the pool terrace were to die for. All in all great self catering apar**ents, would defo stay here again

Me and my girlfriend booked a 7 nights break away and I must say the staff are super friendly and cannot fault.. But trying to get some rest on a night is near impossible.. People forever slamming doors shouting you name it... There is six apar**ent blocks and maybe not all of them are the same but we seemed to get the one with all the noise and people that don't really care about others... Holidays are about relaxing and the pool area is great for that but once night time comes say goodbye to sleep... Next year I will definitely be choosing or hoping to choose and more relaxed place and somewhere you can atleast get some sleep... Glad to be going home 😴

We had a great 10 days at Sa Mirada. The apar**ents are a little dated/tired but our apar**ent was clean and suited us well for our needs. It is only rated low stars so think you need to set your expectations accordingly- if you are expecting luxury, you will be disappointed. The air con is only in the lounge but is powerful enough to cool the whole apar**ent even in the very hot weather we experienced. We followed their guidance about not leaving food out and had no problem with ants. The pool is great and has gorgeous views. We were half board so ate down at Isla Paraiso which was not a problem, only a short walk. We also used the pool down there sometimes and the kids took part in the pool games from the entertainment team. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We would definitely consider returning
