Naranjos Resort Menorca

We have being holidaying in S'Algar for 50 years (before Los Naranjos was built!) and have stayed here several times over the years. It is now our 'chosen' place to stay as it is convenient, clean, friendly and helpful staff. A bonus is that there is a small supermarket on site and a good restaurant as well as the superb, large swimming pool. Definitely the place to stay for a friendly, relaxing holiday in the Med.

me and my boyfriend stayed here during 2nd week of sept ,the apartment was lovely pool etc . However i felt there is such a large discrimination towards irish/young people in this narow minded town the way the staff spoke to us vs english/spanish people was disgraceful. when i booked this place it didnt say "nursing home" yet the neighbours cant mind their own business because me and my boyfriend went swimming late at 12am they dont like that . 1 woman actually screamed at me and my boyfriend calling us "embarrassing " and started on us A GROWN WOMAN i said to her multiple times stay out of it and act ur age i paid for this resort as much as anyone else. i think the pool time closing at 7pm is ridiculous i paid for a pool with this apartment so time shouldent matter? . also on one occasion 4 spanish people were screaming at us and they called me a "stupid *****" and to "go to ibiza if u want to party" bare in mind me and my boyfriend are only 19. years old these people are discriminative towards irish people . Also during service in restaurant the staff would just ignore us and focus on other people . 1 woman actually charged us 19€ for a bottle of wine when we clearly stated the12.50€ one but she mimicked us and made us out to be "too drunk" to even question. i told that to the manager and he said he would refund me but never did. Also when we were stuck in town we called los naranjos to get us a taxi when they answered the call and i spoke she hung up? .just take into consideration this place is a "family and old people place " and there is ignorant people here if u are irish dont come here and if you are young because all u get is rudeness and discrimination

This is a fabulous hotel in a very quiet location. Perfect for a relaxing holiday. The onsite restaurant, bar and shop are ideal and have everything you would need, and it is just a 5 minute walk to the nearest restaurants. Thos is a family run business, and it shows. The staff are all very welcoming and the entire resort is spotless. There are plenty of very comfy sun loungers by the pool, which I am very happy to say were not reserved by selfish people who then disappear elsewhere for the day. The two bedroom apartments are very clean, spacious and well equipped, perfect for a family. On our last day we have an early pickup for the airport, so they made us a breakfast picnic to take with us which just goes to show how they value their clients. We will definitely be back soon! This was our first visit to Menorca. We usually go to the canaries due to the time of year we travel. I have got to say have fallen in love with this little island and a massive part of that was this wonderful little apartment complex. The place is clean and safe, lovely and quiet. The pool is perfect for kids and adults alike. The shop onsite has all the bits you’ll need at a fair price. For me though the biggest winner was the staff. Literally nothing is too much trouble this runs from the manger down the chain. Special mention to Ursula and Oliver on the bar who were wonderful people and made our holiday that much more special. The chef was also amazing our daughter has a very specific diet and he went out of his way to help us. Meant the world to us. Defo going back next year for 2 weeks ❤️ LOVED IT !

This was our first visit having stayed at the Alua before. We wanted a good size self catering apartment in good safe and clean grounds and got exactly that. We used the hotel transfers for the airport which were very efficient but you could perhaps have a taxi cheaper but this was better for us. The apartment was a good size for two. No aircon in bedrooms but it cooled down the whole apartment in what was very hot weather and there are ceiling fans. No oven but a microwave and three hobs - the fourth has been disconnected in all apartments it seem but again it was fine. No cleaning during our week there but we knew this in advance. Clean towels 3 times. Small safe available at an extra charge. Some minor maintenance work to do perhaps but times will have been tough during covid so we didn't expect everything to be in perfect condition. Shop has basics and prices similar to main one in the square but very convenient and was being restocked for summer. Restaurant yes expensive but again prices similar to bar in the square - food quality very good we thought. Staff really pleasant and helpful - give it a personal touch not always there with big hotels. We paid the extra for the hot tub - enjoyed using it and great views from the terrace. Pool areas kept clean as are rest of grounds. So completely different from the other hotels there but we enjoyed it and are planning to return next year. Thank you for an excellent stay.

The Los Naranjos complex overall is clean,the pool area is spotless,restaurant and grounds well maintained,not many staff but those we met were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we were very dissapointed with our apartment(2B) shower area not cleaned very well,light fitting rusty,no oven,1 hob ring out of order,wifi very temperamental, tv needed to be retuned and no relevance to channel list on wall,very basic utensils for a self catering holiday,dirty behind sofa in lounge,leaking aircon and aircon only in living room so bedrooms very uncomfortable during hot evenings,you can use the ceiling fans but the noise kept my daughter awake.one change of towels but no cleaners seen on a seven day stay. Shop on site is adequate but if you want a big shop you will need to taxi or bus. Restaurant on site is good but quite expensive and fairly limited menu although there is not a lot of choice within S'algar Resort.only one other restaurant of any note( Reina Isabel) where we had a nice breakfast but very poor service and expensive evening meal. It is very quiet and was ideal for a relaxing stay by the pool ,but if you're looking for things to do you will need to travel somewhere else

The Naranjos is well situated , and in lovely grounds , helpful staff , and lovely pool area . Apartments spacious and ground floor terrace has easy access to pool , which was very accessible for disabled daughter . Only a couple of negatives ( which didn’t spoil anything , )only chunky glasses , no wine ones and only a big carving knife and big bread knife , a small one would be useful . The modern bathroom with cupboard with towels , and equipment . Good idea . Our shower tray was in very bad condition with mould , as this was still early season I would have expected this to look better, but it was obvious the apartment generally was cleaned to a high standard , fresh sheets and towels several times during our stay . We look forward to returning next year

Wonderful stay. Pool fantastic. Food fantastic. The lady waitress during the day remembered what we liked and disliked. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Apartments great, but only one downfall were the beds. They need to invest in some mattress toppers. Apart from that everything was perfect. I would not let the beds put me off staying there again and hope to go back later in the year.

Best restaurant in SALGAR and neighbourhood ; they CAN cook ! Excellent cod mayonesa and rice with seafood, hat plates ! Le meilleur restaurant de S ALGAR et de la zone , le cabillaud a la mayonnaise et le riz aux fruits de mer ; ça c 'est de la cuisine ! Les assiettes chaudes : ça c'est professionel ! Es el mejor restaurante de la zona Aconsejo el balacalao a la mayonnaise, y el arroz con mariscos Cosa muy escasa : te sirven en platos calientes lo que es prueba de profesionalismo Fue un gan momento
