Overall, we had a very good time during our stay but the moment we started our return things got worse and overshadowed our trip. The stay itself would rate 4/5. Pro: - Lovely scenery - Delicious food and great drinks (best lobsters we've ever had..) - Very friendly staff (especially Henrique, Charles, Yusse) Con: - Level of cleanliness in the villas was ok-ish - Our Butler (Dario) was not of any help and forwarded our numbers afterwards - The dive center was managed poorly (whilst charging c. 200 USD for a 2 dives / day) Unfortunately, we were almost forgotten on our way back to the airport (there is a quick waiting time at a resort after the boat drive from Bazaruto Island to the main land) and had to chase the car to stop by running and yelling. Additionally, and this was by far the worst experience we've ever encountered, our credit cards were charged twice (we used two different credit cards for the payments and each was charged a second time after our vacation). The first double-charge (5.000 USD) happened two weeks after our departure, the second four weeks after (700 USD). The handling of this serious issue was really bad (we had to ask the hotel various times regarding the status of our problem) and no one really seemed to care. It appears that this issue has something to do with a change within the mozambican banking system. However, the handling was really bad (especially for such a hotel).
