Large, spacious, beautiful rooms. Have to pay extra for parking, lots of noise from the garage and housekeeping. Breakfast was good. Loved that they allowed pets, great location and beautiful site.

We have stayed here 20 years. Staff slack, food quality has dropped off, no attention to details. Will consider other hotels.

The breakfast and soup for lunch were delicious. The ski in and out, proximity to the village , mall and all buses are amazing.
It is cozy, clean and people are friendly. It is an old hotel, rustic .

Mountain Chalet is a conveniently located property - slope side, and is staffed by friendly, accommodating people. The breakfasts are very nice, and lunch is served, too, although we did not take advantage of that. The rooms are getting old and in need of some refurbishing. Unfortunately, we were not able to regulate the heat in our room (the thermostat did not control the heat), and had to sleep with the windows open. There is nothing special about this property (in terms of amenities, features or room comfort), but it is nice to be ON the slope in the morning; however, if you plan to ski all four of Aspen's mountains, that isn't a real advantage, and you would be best to spend less money for lodging off-slope.

It has an excellent location for those who ski and those who don't too, everything is less than a 5-minute walk away.
It is a hotel that maintains its originality and is good but lacks maintenance in the bathrooms.
