At the end of ten days walking from La Verna and, having conquered the final steep ascent into the town, we were delighted to find a hotel just inside the San Giacomo Gate as we arrived into the beautiful and evocative town of Assisi. We were looking to stay two nights but only one was available. However the room being spacious, comfortable and clean and we were delighted to take it. Having showered and rested we went in search of a coffee and snack to revive us and we encountered Miguel who looked after our needs with an easy and friendly efficiency. The hotel was a perfect base to explore the town and, in the course of the day we sourced an alternative, more up-market (and substantially more expensive) location for our second day's stay. On our return however the San Giacomo had a second smaller room available for the next day which perfectly catered for the needs of this pair of peregrinos. There was a wide choice of food available for the breakfast, where we were looked after with charm and efficiency once more by Miguel and, our taxi having arrived within minutes of being ordered by the reception staff, we headed for home . We really enjoyed our stay in this friendly and well-run hotel and would have no hesitation in recommending it as a perfect base to explore the wonderful town of St. Francis.

Buon Hotel posizione ottimale ma sembra un labirinto di camere ma il cibo é abbastanza buono.SI PERDONO GLI AMICI PER LE STANZE.Il bagno è piccolo e in certi bagni c'è la fantastica doccia-cesso dove il WC sta sotto la doccia così che puoi fare tutte le due cose contemporaneamente.Colazione abbondante e buona per una giornata impegnata.In una camera la doccia non stava in bagno ma da un' altra parte dove si vedeva tutto.Le stanze con più di 2 persone sono piccole quanto le camere da due certe anche più piccole.Wi-Fi non funzionante al 3°piano ma al resto si e non c'è campo per la connessione dati

È stata un'esperienza positiva. L'hotel si trova in posizione strategica per visitare Assisi. C' è vicino un parcheggio gratuito anche se le indicazioni sono sc**** e poco chiare. Il personale dell'hotel è stato molto cordiale ed accogliente.

Andati solo per la notte di capodanno.non discuto sul prezzo che può essere anche giustificabile per la data ma non vale proprio quanto chiesto. Bagno fatiscente,caldo disarmante,coperte vecchissime.

È già la terza volta che ci torno. È un posto Incantevole!!!❤️ Sembra di vivere un sogno dove non vorresti svegliarti. Hotel San Giacomo. I Propietari sono persone fantastiche e genuine,personale molto gentile e cordiale.

Siamo stati benissimo, 3 camere matrimoniali grandi e curate,buffet della colazione abbondante e torte fatte in casa. Accoglienza genuina e molto familiare. Parcheggio a due passi e gratuito. Ultimo,ma non per ultimo, a due passi da la Basilica di San Francesco. Consigliato.

Hotel situato in posizione strategica 150 metri sopra la Basilica di San Francesco. Possibilità di arrivare a pochi metri dalla struttura per carico scarico bagagli. Pargheggio San Giacomo situato poco sopra 48 scalini. Hotel a 3 stelle, rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente. Stanze pulite, la nostra aveva il bagno già ristrutturato con box doccia. Servizio veloce e sempre cordiale. Colazione normale, non tantissima scelta ma abbastanza abbondante. Fortemente consigliato.

Come tutti gli anni ormai quando faccio tappa in Umbria vado in questo hotel, dove la gentilezza, la professionalità e l'accoglienza di tutti e in particolare di Rita e Fausto ti fanno sentire a casa, è comodo e vicinissimo alla Basilica di San Francesco. Grazie a voi e alla prossima
