Nothing but good things about this stay. Beautiful place, comfortable bed, nice bath. Very good meals and service at Roaring Fork restaurant. Large crowd at checkin but the desk crew got everyone checked in expediently.

Convenient location to anywhere in Downtown Austin. Parked the car and never saw it again until we left for home. Walking distance to everything. Hotel and room was clean and well kept.

This is an outdated hotel. The photos are not aligned with the physical environment. The rooms are old without outlets by the bed for phones, technology, etc. The bathrooms and bathtub are outdated. The water in my shower was luke warm. I had just gotten back from running a marathon and jumped in the shower only to jump out freezing cold. They fixed it pretty quickly, yet it was too late for recovery on my part. My friend got stuck in her room because the bar at top malfunctioned. The maintenance team had to come and bust the door in. There is no room service. The entertainment/TV cable is outdated, requiring you to turn to channel 2 for a scrolling menu. I felt like I was back in the 90's. Definitely not worth the cost to stay here. Location was great, yet I would have paid more to have a higher level of comfort.

Free upgrade was advertised by ******* and front desk would not honor it even though available. They demanded a 25 dollar cost on upgrade. Totally misleading by ******* perk! Not good

We loved our time at The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta. The room was perfect. The bar and terrace was a unique highlight… the cocktails of the month are a must! Valet parking was very convenient too. Overall a wonderful stay!

Historic hotel with lots of cool character. Staff is charming and customer service is clearly a priority. The area is very fun. We walked around the capital, Riverwalk, and second Street all only a couple minutes from the hotel. Hotel has a well equipped brand new gym and a nice indoor pool and hot tub to enjoy on those cold days. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the restaurant and bar but those looked like they had great ambience and outside balcony seating.

Nice location near capitol and restaurants. Nice lap pool and gym. Comfortable room. Was very quiet on the top 16th floor. Friendly helpful staff.
