We had a wonderfully spacious room that looked up the valley and across to the ski area. It was clean and comfortable. The bar in the hotel was closed and thry only served breakfast which was an excellent selection to get you started for the day. The staff were very friendly too Make sure you ask for the Gastein card from reception as you can make savings on the lifts, attractions at the Spa plus at tourist info

The Hotel has been upgraded recently. Bathrooms and the Sauna/Steamroom area were all fairly new and the rooms comfortable with all necessary amenities. Recently it changed from Half Board to just Bed and Breakfast. Due to its great location very near to the town centre and the main ski lift, this was not a problem but it would have been nice to see the bar open at night for ALL guests, not just closed party groups which could become quite noisy. However all in all we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

The hotel overall was good for the price we paid £614 with TUI flights, half board and transfers through Crystal from Birmingham in half term week. The hotel is quaint and the rooms are a little old but very warm. It's a pleasant 15 minute walk to the ski lift. The ski area was really good. It was a mid size ski area (Gastien) with various runs and not that busy in half term week. Again masks were required on the lifts but not skiing which was a right pain. I tried to put my snood over my face and the guy was shouting mask mask. Hopefully this will all end in March. Food We booked half-board through Crystal. Breakfast was self-service Continental - cheeses, cold meats, fresh bread, boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, juices & fruit tea / coffee. They had almond milk and soya yogurt for vegans. Dinner was 4 courses - a really good salad from the salad bar, followed by soup of the day (usually not vegan so I couldn't eat this), followed by your choice of 2 or 3 main courses (choose at breakfast, write it on the menu on your table), followed by your choice of 2 desserts (can choose at the time). All the options were meat or fish and one night the vegetarian option was carbonara which I could not eat and another night vegetables with a fried egg. I asked for extra chips and they served me 3 chips on the first night but it improved after this! Tap water is free and you can drink from the bathroom in your room. It is better than Evian!!! A nice surprise was that your dinner included one free drink, wine beer, juices etc. The main courses included: escalopes, pork medallions, duo from the grill, turkey steak, beef an duck. Alternatives included: salmon, trout, mushrooms on toast, carbonara. Most nights we had a glass of wine as our free drink. Dinner was served any time between 6pm and 7pm and you sat at the same table each day, it seems the English sit together and Germans in another room from what I could see. There is also a small bar in the dining room. Overall the food is very good and as a vegan it was more than suitable, they went out of their way to make me tofu with vegan cheese and jacket potato and pasta with fresh tomato sauce. Bedrooms The room was spacious, warm and reasonably comfortable. Shampoo / Shower gel and soap were provided in the bathroom. But when we turned on the main radiator the running water through the radiator was continuous the whole time which was slightly annoying. I did speak to the staff and they repaired this the same day. Pillows were really comfy and the beds were nice apart from the sheet which was nylon, not cotton Facilities The Sauna in the basement is available from 3:00pm to 7:00pm and includes 3 separate saunas (different temperatures) and a small steam room. We did have to ask for a few nights for it to be turned on as staff only turn it on if guests use it and it takes around 20 minutes to heat up. We didn’t use the ski room. Instead we hired a locker at the edge of the slopes (ski rental)

We really enjoyed our stay here. This is basically two merged hotels brought together through a linked corridor. Our room was on the Paracelsus side. The room was a decent size with a balcony and view of the mountain. A good, hot powerful shower is needed after a day’s skiing and this hotel delivered. Breakfast was typically Austrian with a fine selection of fresh fruit, cereal, bread, jams and cold meats. There was no real hot option apart from boiled eggs. That didn’t really matter though to us. I have stayed in many Austrian hotels and I have to say that the evening meal was one of the best. The salad buffet had a good selection and the mains was of restaurant quality and a decent portion. Nobody was going hungry whilst staying here. Staff were friendly and pleasant and the owner Manfred would often wander over and have a chat. We didn’t take advantage of the wellness facilities here but there was a games room the the Paracelsus where you could play pool and table tennis. There was a small ski room and the ski bus stop was a short stroll away 2-3mins. Buses are excellent in Badhofgastein and run every 10mins or so to the nearest Gondola.

Sehr nettes familiäres geführtes Hotel Personal sehr nett saubere Zimmer und leckeres Essen . Parkplätze sind reichlich vorhanden . Außenanlagen sehr schön angelegt . Skikellergut zu erreichen. Was will man mehr . Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder .

Wir kennen den Ort durch mehrere Winterurlaube und sind das erste mal in diesem Hotel/Apar**ent. Gutes Apar**ent, Super Lage und nettes zuvorkommendes Personal. Ich kann dieses Apar**ent/Hotel weiterempfehlen.

Wij verbleven met onze kinderen (15 en 18 jaar) op 2 kamers. Onze jongens hadden een kamer met balkon en wij hadden een kamer zonder balkon, maar wel met een 3 persoons bank en tafel met 2 stoelen. Daardoor konden we na het skiën nog even met 4 personen op onze kamer verblijven en een spelletje doen. De kamers zijn wat verouderd, maar wel schoon. De bedden liggen prima. De bedden worden elke dag opgemaakt en schone handdoeken krijg je als je ze op de vloer van de badkamer legt. Het ontbijt is uitgebreid en kwalitatief erg goed. Ik las een opmerking dat er qua warm ontbijt enkel een gekookt ei is. Dat klopt, maar verder is het dermate uitgebreid dat ik scrambled eggs echt niet heb gemist. Het blijft wel traditioneel Oostenrijks natuurlijk. Het 4 gangen diner is ook uitstekend. 's Ochtends kun je aangeven welk hoofdgerecht je wilt hebben. Naast de saladebar en soep als voorgerecht heb je keuze uit een vleesgerecht, vis of vegetarisch gerecht en keuze uit 2 desserts. Alles wordt zeer goed klaar gemaakt. Wij houden van de traditionele (lees home-cooking) keuken, dus we hebben iedere avond genoten. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en omdat je steeds aan dezelfde tafel zit, weet men als snel wat je voor drankjes wilt bestellen. Dat is een leuke bijkomstigheid. Van de speelkamers met pool tafel hebben onze jongens enkele keren gebruik gemaakt. Deze ruimte is wat minder gezellig, met glazen die men vergeet op te ruimen van de vorige dag. De service van de receptie is ook uitstekend. Onze jongste zoon had zijn portemonnee laten liggen op de kamer. Toen we dit hadden nagevraagd werd het zonder kosten naar ons opgestuurd met een leuk kaartje erbij. Echt top!

Das Hotel ist echt ok, aber Ausstattung, Angebot und Service schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen! Abendmenü muss schon in der Früh gewählt werden, vegetarisch nur auf Anfrage, moderne, gesunde Küche und Präsentation sieht anders aus. Zimmerausstattung zwar tw. erneuert, aber noch immer sehr rustikal und al**odisch, tw. noch unhygienische Teppichböden, tw. Zimmer sehr groß, tolle Balkone, Fernseher winzig, Lage im Ort super, Parkplatz gut, Personal tw. sehr nett, Urlaub war ok, auch wegen des tollen Schigebiets!
