Relais & Chateaux Hotel Schwarzmatt

i really enjoyed my stay.was upgraded to a lovely room with bigger balcony (only problem is am spoilt for another visit!)delicious breakfast.the hotel is elegant and attractive,nice pool but rather small.my only slight criticism ,which is of course rather subjective)is that i found the bed pillows too soft.my friends who i was visiting were jealous that they weren't staying there too!

We were at the end of a holiday mainly in Malta and then seeing friends in Switzerland. As we were flying back to Scotland from Basel we looked for a conveniently located hotel. We could not believe how fortunate we have been in all respects. The hotel is located in the southern Black Forest and the drive, from the south, not on the quickest route was a wonderful way to approach the very scenic town of Badenweiler. It has so very much to commend it from its scenic park, Roman remains, Spa bath with views to go with it. But it was arriving at the hotel presented the best of welcomes. Set within walking distance of both the town centre and the forest both of which were visited in our far-too-brief s stay. Set in delightful gardens we received a warm welcome. The room was an upgrade to a beautifully presented room with balcony overlooking the garden. The cuisine we experienced from coffee and cakes, evening meal and breakfast were simply delicious with warm and friendly service. Apart from the walk in the forest and around the delightful town, we also enjoyed the use of the swimming pool and related facilities. What a well presented and relaxing place. As we were only booked for one night, we delayed our departure until after lunch. We will not make the mistake of just staying one night next time. A friendly and welcoming hotel were the family’s influence is always present.

We had a wonderful stay at the Schwarzmatt. Perfectly located close to France and Switzerland, and very close to Badenweiler's town centre, this hotel offers an idyllic stay with great food and a super spa.

Visited with my Mother and a friend. Excellent Service - very attentive to all our needs, especially my mother and her reduced mobility needs. All details were taken care of, the head of housekeeping came to us to check if everything was in order, and overall the accommodation, food and service were excellent.

This was the BEST Relais et Chateaux that we ever stayed at. the hotel looked brand new. The service was excellent and the surroundings were beautiful. We ate breakfast and dinner here and sometimes lunch. The meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Also, great wine list to choose from.

Très bon séjour, très bon rapport qualité prix , accueil parfait, on se sent bien accueilli La partie spa et piscine est très agréable et accueillante, le coin sauna est très bien aménagé Un très bon service et un bon séjour dans cette magnifique petite ville de Badenweiler

Einmaliges Hummer Festival mit sehr leckerem Hummer Menü. Ich hatte grosses Glück, denn das exklusive Menü war sehr schnell ausverkauft. Alles sehr toll präsentiert. Der Chefkoch mit seiner Crew hat alles fantastisch zubereitet. Das Hotel Schwarzmatt ist bekannt für seine speziellen Anlässe, darum immer rechtzeitig reservieren. Ich freue mich schon sehr auf den nächsten kulinarischen Anlass.

Freundlich, gepflegt, edel, sehr sauber. Das nette und gut geschulte Team verwöhnte uns, die Küche zeigte uns, was „sehr gut essen“ heißt. Für Menschen, die es lieben, in Ruhe ein paar Tage zu genießen und auszuspannen genau richtig.
