Wahyu Dana Hotel

The only one thing we love about this place is the swimming pool with seaview. We stayed for three nights. No staff cleaning our room or pick up the garbage the whole time we staying there. The facilities is terrible. The bed was unusable and the cockroaches in bathroom.

This hotel is in a lovely spot although a long walk to Lovina Beach. First impressions were not good as 8 staff in reception all standing around looking confused. No one here speaks English so a lot gets lost in translation. The room is very nice, bed very comfortable and a huge lcd tv. No wardrobe to hang clothes, to me it looks like a lot of money has been spent on decor and tv's but no thought into room set ups. Our fridge only has 3 legs so needed to be propped up and no power points close to the bed so lamps or even phone charging is almost out of reach. The lamp on my side of the bed was broken. This place advertises as having a bar & restaurant which it does not. The free breakfast consists of 3 choices and the toast and jam option actually comes with eggs cooked to your choice but does not say so on the menu. The food is okay but nothing to rave about. My biggest gripe is that the staff smoke while they work which really annoys me, it doesn't look good as well as stinking up the place. Also our tv only showed Indonesian channels unless we called a staff member in to put in a pin number to allow us to watch fox movies. The pool and grounds are nice although the pool seems to have things being repaired a lot and the grounds staff are always gardening but again smoking while they work. The evening views over the ocean are stunning especially sunset. To summarise this is a tidy/comfortable hotel with semi helpful staff that smoke while working but has beautiful views. There is a mosque near by so all the daily prayers are projected quite loudly, didn't bother us but it needs mentioning as it can be quite loud ar 4.30am. You get street sellers coimg along the property front trying to sell stuff and the won't takeno straight away. Also tour operators come on the property and bug you for business too. Wifi is terrible so have a good phone package. Would we come here again? No, we would stay closer to Lovina Beach. And would I recommend Wahyu Dana? Definitely no! And if you do coose to stay here find a good cab driver as a lot over charge.
