InterContinental Bali Resort, an IHG Hotel

Stay for 3 nights here - Its a huge resort, in front of Jimbaran beach; it location is good too, close to shops and good eating places - however, bit disappointed with their services; check in, waiting for approx 20 mins and no one direct us nor help, for this calibre of resort, we expected more, for sure. Moreover, the reservation lady told us that she will “help” us with the membership but till our checkout time, no one follow it up with us🤔; breakfast was good, many foods options; their servers are friendly but their foods stations staff were not - no smile, no “how are you” nor any basic greetings, definitely need to be improved.

Very very big hotel. If you like be in quite people not arounded people then tis hotel is for you. Beach enough clean now if compare how it were 1 or 2 years ago. Food tasty, there is 3 restaurants. I liked restaurant near main pool. Very tasty decaf coffe with out milk, and prices the same or cheapper than in reastaurants outside hotel. Rooms big and good. Maybe something in hotel and in the rooms a little bit old, but its ok. Good gym. Staff normal. Very cold in lobby toilets which are are fully automatic, like in Tokyo.

A definite highlight! Service: A Mixed Bag: 1. Room Allocation Issues: Despite confirming a king bed during check-in, we were initially provided a room with two single beds. The distance to the room and the necessity to call reception from a bathroom phone (due to a broken phone in the main room) compounded the inconvenience. 2. Communication Challenges: The response to our room issue was slow and confusing, with a bellboy unsure of his role, adding to the disarray. 3. Room Reassignment Confusion: The next room, though identical in design, had the single beds pushed together, which could have been done in the first room. This arrangement awkwardly positioned plugs and switches between the headboards, causing further inconvenience. Cleanliness and Maintenance: Several aspects here were concerning. 1. Kettle Misuse: Discovering a kettle previously used for cooking noodles was off-putting. 2. Neglected French Press: A leftover tea bag in the French press indicated a lack of thorough cleaning. 3. Room Maintenance: The small shower room, a broken study table, and multiple visits from service staff for repairs disrupted our comfort. 4. Pillow Variance: An abundance of square pillows, with only two being rectangular, seemed peculiar. Facilities: Impressive Yet Inconsistent: 1. Culinary Delight: The breakfast, especially the avocado toast with poached eggs, was delightful. 2. Recreational Spaces: The game room and huge congkak with pebbles were enjoyable, though the plastic chess pieces were a letdown. 3. Cultural and Leisure Activities: Hosting Kecak performances, a flea market, and beachfront dining added a unique charm. Overall Ambiance: The hotel exuded an 'old money' experience, enhanced by amenities like bike rentals and laundry service across the street. Conclusion: The stay was a rollercoaster of highs and lows. While certain aspects like location and some facilities were outstanding, issues with service, room comfort, and cleanliness led to a mix of annoyance and appreciation. It was an experience of mixed feelings.

Pretty room and spacious, but there were a lot of flies in the room, might be due to facing the garden. The hotel gave us birthday cake for celebration which was very nice.

Hotel is nice, Service is great but Instant service is slow.

Horrible musty smell in the room🤮🤮. when. when we complained about it no one came to check the room because they knew exactly what it was. we were sent a humidifier (that didn't help at all). First night we woke up with stuffy noses and lost taste partially. If you care about your health safety I don't recommend it all especially if you have children Avoid this hotel. The location was great, the beach is not really convenient for swimming(huge waves). The service was great. we had to use the stairs since some parts of the hotel had broken elevators. everywhere we went we were charged 5℅ for the service but this one 10℅. Think twice before booking this hotel.

The Intercontinental Hotel is one of the best in Bali. The service at the hotel is at the highest level! Daily cleaning, and very attentive staff. Restaurants with very tasty food, there are 6 or more of them, a sooo large main pool and many more on the territory, a children's area, shops with clothes and souvenirs, there is also a schedule of various events that are held at the hotel, in general, here you will find an amazing rest and leisure. We stayed here ina. Club room - the service was great but sometimes a little bit slow. Would definitely book again

Overall the hotel experience was pretty good. They have a very nice beach. Restaurants are quite good, the service was pretty good at the sunset restaurant. However, the hotel itself is a bit old and outdated. There was a strong musty odor in the room. I asked to change the room, but they brought some sort of dehumidifier that helped a bit but not much. I think the service of the reception and housekeeping could be improved.
