Sabaidee Valley

The resort is located on the main road to Paksong and close to a number of tourist sites. The rooms are spacious, albeit rather bland, with a very small balcony with no chairs to sit on. Ironically, for a resort located in the main coffee growing region of Lao, the rooms are supplied with Nescafe (assuming the staff can be bothered, which in our case they couldn't) and the coffee machine in the breakfast room does not function properly . The food is pretty average and overpriced. Throughout our stay, the Internet did not work. There are extensive gardens, but sadly, they are poorly maintained, and there is a small swimming pool. The staff on the whole are unfriendly and disinterested. Billed as a "luxury " resort - this place needs a rethink and to improve their customer service.

We had a nice villa in this resort - which I liked and I enjoyed the quietness of the place. I think the resort was built with love to details like small sculptures standing near the walkways and nice lamps. But to me it seems that this is rather dated and might need some renovations. Unfortunately the resort is far away from the town Paksong and so you have to rely on tours from the hotel. They offer a pickup service from Pakse and also for going back, which might save you some hassle getting there. We took one tour round the plateau for one day and tried to do some additional trekking, but that was either expensive or not available. To my surprise a travel agency in Pakse offered us later a bunch of one or two day trekking tours starting from Pakse - so there should be some options ;-) The WiFi was disconnected a lot and additionally the mobile connection is bad as well (because of the location away far from town). The restaurant was catering rather street food - not really bad, but the food quality did not match the villas/rooms and they had a very limited selection of drinks (mostly juices and beer). Nevertheless if you look for a quiet place in nature, maybe as a couple on a get-away - it might be worth considering. For me it was a rather mixed impression - the reason why it only got 3 stars.

This place has everything to make it great, but honestly the owners are too greedy and the management has no idea of upkeep and management. The rooms were filthy, dirty walls with lizard poo (we live in Hongkong and does nit take much to clean up). Would on our walls. Curtains dirty even in the dining room. Pillows stunk of urine. Told it was 4 star - sorry more like 2 star. Can't believe no papaya, watermelon or fresh coconut when they were being sold along the main road. Sadly view over the valley from the chalets was spoilt by the filthy windows.

Great place to relax and enjoy side trips to the Paksong area especially waterfalls. Bed is comfortable, breakfast is nice, service, pool, sauna and outdoor facilities are very good. Highly recommendable.

The rooms were absolutely stunning and the resort beautiful but unfortunately we stayed when there was a large private event going on which meant there was no indoor restaurant to eat our evening meal in. It was particularly cold so we did not want to sit outside so ordered room service which sadly did not go well. Breakfast was very busy too. The shower was not very warm either, It was such a shame that it did not go as well as it could because it really is a breathtakingly beautiful resort with the most comfortable bed. There are no local restaurants t visit as it is a place well out on its own.

One of the best place to stay nearby Paskse, nice staffs and good accommodations.

Un tempo doveva essere stato un bel resort…più curato il giardino che i bungalow! Location bella sulla vallata di Bolaven ok ma i bungalow avrebbero bisogno di una ristrutturazione dall’imbiacatura alla pulizia dei locali, mobiletti rotti insetti morti ovunque!! Per fortuna ci siamo stati una notte sola, colazione passabile e personale inesistente Non lo consiglio proprio!!!

Resort sur la route du plateau des Bolaven, situé près de la cascade Tad Fane. Grand jardin à l'arrière, bungalow luxueux et spacieux, au calme. Un restaurant extérieur est présent, le petit-déjeuner se prend dans une petite maison donnant sur le jardin. Depuis la piscine, belle vue sur la région. Il faut avoir son transport.

Hôte très agréable un peu isolé mais proche des cascades. Jolie ensemble de villa bien équipée mais manque un coffre. Très belle piscine face à la nature. Calme certain équipements extérieurs un peu usés. Petit déjeuner correct sans plus manque viennoiserie, thé vert, yaourt.
