The Traxx Hotel

Coffee and tea plus kettle is there which is huge plus. There wasn't any shampoo or soap, carry your own. Clean and comfy.

near to the train station and bus stop, convenient to catch the bus to snowdon.

I was going to give this two "stars", but an excellent breakfast meant I promoted them to three. Overall, the place did it's job by providing a bed for us prior to going to Holyhead the next day to catch a ferry. However, it could have done it better. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had to change our room from a double to a twin at the last minute, but that was not a problem. Unfortunately, the place needs some tender loving care. Mainly in the form of a really good clean, maybe redecorating, and some minor repairs. It looked "tired". The beds were really soft and uncomfortable. Being above a pub we suffered from pub noise, but that maybe was expected as the Traxx is in fact a pub with beds. The breakfast however, as mentioned, was excellent, and as said, it did it's job by giving us a place to stay before catching a ferry from Holyhead.

I can’t believe that hotels like this can get business in 2024 it’s not all to blame on hotel Bangor itself is terrible tried going to a pub for a drink the bub we went into was filthy dirty the whole town is run down how can this happen in Great Britain in 2024

Dirty, shabby, needs redecorating . No sleep due to noise of the bar pumps outside, staff don’t really care at all, over priced dirty place. No bathroom products available or hair dryer, had to go to supermarket to buy everything that any normal hotel would give

We arrived late in the day to be greeted by the reception team they were very helpful. The room (14) was very basic and it was not very clean. The bathroom had lots of long dark hairs in the bath and sink with no cleaning stuff to sort out. We had 2 single beds which were adequate, both clean and comfortable. Location great just needs a really good clean
