Hotel Nettuno

Beautiful hotel & greeting was so friendly . All the staff- work like family - restaurant , bar , reception & housekeeping. This was exceptional . Always going out of their way to make our holiday special . My surprise birthday table 🎂 was so lovely dressed & celebrated from breakfast to dinner. Mothers day all guests received z handmade bouquet . The restaurant team particually Kabir assisted my mum at meal times offering choices & bringing to our table that over looked the lake . Making her feel so special . Her first holiday since being widowed . She was very anxious about travelling . Mum wanted to return & re book as soon as we got home for next year . Our first time to Lake Garda and we picked the right resort and hotel. Situated right on the lake but in a quieter area of the resort, Hotel Nettuno met all our expectations. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Restaurant was clean and food was very good. Buffet breakfast, 3 choice of 2 main courses in an evening with salad starter and buffet desserts. Pool area has plenty of beds and brollies. Pool clean and refreshing with a shallow area for children. The outside terrace overlooks the lake and is a beautiful spot to watch the sunset. All staff are friendly and helpful. In particular, Ebrima, Rosa, Lena and Stefano. Would definitely recommend and hope to return again at some point.

Mum and I have recently returned from a 2 week stay in this wonderful hotel. This is our 3rd time staying here and for us, the hotel and its location is just perfect. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. All staff, without exception, were first class and a credit to the hotel. We were well looked after in the dining room by all the staff, including, Kamel, Kabir, Stefano, Matteo, Lydia and Ebrima....super efficient and always greeted with a smile. Special mention to the chef and his superb lasagne (following a special request from us - thankyou!). We are already planning a return visit next year. Small, friendly & homely hotel..our 2nd visit, others we met have returned for years..staff very friendly & helpful..location superb...views from the restaurant/bar over the lake were breath taking..food choice v good, stayed 2wks menu never repeated..love the no buffet starter/main evening meal...salad bar and desserts are help yourselves...select your choice of evening meal at breakfast...Returning next year to see refurbishment, and the lovely staff. Special thanks to Marco the bar manager who couldn't do enough. Receptionist Elke, Gloria & Juli who made our welcome very special...always on hand to help with their smiling faces. Kamal & Stefano in the restaurant/bar gave 1st class service, along with Kabar and the 4 work experience young staff, who did all to serve you. Domenico head chef very friendly always cheerful, always checking all ok. All in all glad we returned this year, and look forward to next year..pam&dave

The Hotel Nettuno is a lovely traditional hotel, with a superb lakeside location, within a short walk to the centre of Bardolino. We thoroughly enjoyed our week,’s stay. The staff at reception, in the restaurant and bar are a credit to the hotel, special mention has to go to Stefano who was polite, friendly and extremely effective in the restaurant. Initially, we found it a little strange that you were required to order your evening meal at Breakfast each day. However this enabled the Chef to provide a superb selection, although limited we were always able to pick something that met our tastes and the quality produced across all four courses was exemplary. We also met some lovely fellow guests which added to our enjoyment. The Hotel offers excursions and the facility to hire bikes, we hired their electric bikes, for €35.00 each for the day and travelled miles along the lakeside, taking in the views and the amazing scenery and towns south of Bardolino. The hotel is being refurbished during the winter closure and this will no doubt add to the experience of guests. We cannot recommend the hotel, location and staff any more highly.

The hotel was extremely comfortable, well equipped rooms, lovely large swimming pool and amenities, great lobby to relax and enjoy a cocktail, excellent restaurant and casual dining area, parking close by - reserved out the front, with only 10 metres to Lake Garda what more could you want, but, better than that were the staff. They were exceptional - friendly, professional accommodating and always available. We would stay there in an instant. The service is what sets them apart from a multitude of accommodation in Lake Garda

This was our first holiday in Italy and Lake Garda and Hotel Nettuno exceeded our expectation. The location of Hotel Nettuno is great for easy access to the centre of Bardolino with a lovely lakeside walk. The breakfast selection was excellent, so much to choose from. We ate in the hotel restaurant twice and enjoyed the buffet starters from the salad bar, the two courses and the choice of desserts. The staff were most welcoming and friendly especially Elke and the waitress Maria (sorry if I have the wrong name). All the staff were patient with my few words of Italian and speak English fluently. Our room was a good size, well furnished and well cleaned. Yes the decor was a bit tired and overdue for the imminent refurbishment but it did not spoil our enjoyment of the hotel. It was lovely to see Bardolino during the buzz of the wine festival but good too to experience a quieter Bardolino after the festival had packed up. Transport links with busses and ferries were good and was our first holiday without a car. We plan to return.

We stayed for a week in September. Would recommend the hotel, there was a very large range of different food for breakfast to suit all tastes. A lovely view of the lake sat outside for breakfast. We had evening meal, which we choose from the menu at breakfast, found all the food to be delicious, couldn’t fault any of it. Salad to start with, wide choice and quickly topped up, bread available. Next was pasta course and then the main course, then sweet which you could choose on the night and help yourself to, small portions but was never left hungry. Smooth running restaurant, some very helpful and friendly waiters, we did find the head waiter a little grumpy and not as welcoming as the others. Drinks in the hotel were reasonably priced and very nice, after sampling several Apreol spritz in the area I found the hotels to be the best 😁 Room may have been a little dated but then we only slept there so didn’t bother us, beds made every day and cleaned regularly, towels changed when needed. Although we sat a couple of afternoons by the pool we didn’t go in, a few people said it was a little chilly and it wasn’t the most inviting pool. But then I’m not a ‘water’ person anyway. I’m sure if you like a swim then it would be fine for you, Bar staff were lovely, as were both the ladies on reception - very helpful whenever we asked any questions. We had an early trip one morning and they made sure the kitchen prepared a breakfast to go with us. Perfect spot to explore the area, 10 minute walk to the centre. Could also walk along the lake to the neighbouring towns. If I had a moan it would be maybe music a few more times in the week, other than just the one night.

The Nettuno is perfectly placed on the outskirts of Bardolino with beautiful views and sunsets over Lake Garda. There is a gentle flat walk in to the old town (10 minutes) or the marina (15 minutes) via the lake side walk. Although old in style at the moment, it was clean and tidy. It does not look shabby at all. We stayed B&B, food was good and drinks in the hotel a reasonable price. A good base to see all of the Lake. A ferry around the bottom half or a bus up to Malcesine are easily achieved from here. The hotel is having a refurbishment this winter. The one thing we would suggest is better soundproof windows as there is some traffic noise and the odd group of noisy visitors walking past the hotel. All in all, an enjoyable and romantic holiday.
