If you're looking for a room with a poor view, outdated furniture (particularly bathrooms), so noisy you can't sleep and rude staff then this is the place for you. The rooms were clean but haven't had an update in ages, the misty glass hides a view over shops, the extractor fan / neighbours / fridge all make so much noise it keeps you up. When you complain the staff couldn't be less interested.

Restaurant recommended by friends, so we booked for mid-day Wednesday. It was a quiet time with only a few others dining. That said the service was friendly and quick. We had a starter and main course followed by coffee. Presentation of food was beautiful and and tasted delicious. Certainly value for money. If there were a problem we found our table too close to the next one where the people were happy to share their conversation with us.

I booked a room for my parents while we were staying nearby. They found the room comfortable and clean. Lovely venue for food and drink and fantastic views too

An overnight stay in the penthouse suite with amazing views of the sea and The Needles. A very comfortable, large suite with its own kitchen, lounge, spacious bedroom and en-suite. The outdoor terrace was an added bonus. Sitting having coffee listening to the sea was the perfect Sunday morning.

Sunday dinner was excellent, fish perfectly cooked and well presented, chicken tender and succulent with veg and a huge Yorkshire pudding. Desserts sumptuos, all washef down with decent Pinot and Armagnac. Penthouse accomidation is worth the premium for glorious views east and west, space, kingsize bed and bathrooms as well as formal dining space.
Service from each and all staff was impeccable.

Great location overlooking the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Nice rooms and good food, service was little haphazard.

Stayed in the Penthouse pre COVID, the only room available this time was Purbeck, this is very small and has no view with frosted windows. Breakfast was good quality but little choice, you have to pay extra for juice and pastries, you may be better off here paying for breakfast as an extra.

We’re booked into room 5, Purbeck, and we’re very disappointed. Room looks exactly like the pictures however you are not advised that this room overlooks the kitchen roof including the noisy extractor fan. This could be heard even with the windows closed and very noisy with windows open. Staff attitude was well it goes off at 9pm, so only on in the day time!! We’re not offered anything to make up for this and because all other rooms were booked (which we do appreciate) we cancelled the reservation and found an alternative hotel.
