easyHotel Basel City - contactless self check-in

Although the front desk is not the same as the hotel check-in location (1 min walking) but the front desk staff is very friendly and the price is good in Switzerland!

Easy to find. Located near the tram station. Supermarket nearby

It was a lovely stay. The hotel was very clean. Located right at the centre with all amenities nearby.

Eine gute Unterkunft im Zentrum Basels, die ungefähr auf der Mitte der Strecke zwischen dem deutschen und dem SSB-Bahnhof liegt und zu Fuß gut erreichbar ist. Wir hatten auch ein größeres Zimmer als gebucht, nehme ich an. Das war super. Leider war der Check-In nicht problemlos. Wie ich vor Monaten schon per E-Mail mitgeteilt bekommen hatte, konnte man dort keinen Selbst-Check-in machen, sondern musste zu einem anderen Hotel. Dort war die Tür bereits für die nächtliche Sicherheit geschlossen. Als ich klingelte, wollte man uns nicht reinlassen als ich vom EasyHotel geredet habe, sodass wir direkt zum EasyHotel gelaufen sind, um zu prüfen, ob dort vielleicht mittlerweile der Self-Check-in funktioniert. Dort war nur wieder ein Hinweis auf das andere Hotel. Als wir dann zurückliefen, kam uns dann der Mitarbeiter von diesem Hotel bereits entgegen und sagte uns, dass wir den Check-in dort machen müssen, obwohl wir vorher nicht reingelassen wurden... Ein anderes Problem waren Renovierungsarbeiten im EasyHotel. Bereits am Morgen hatten diese begonnen, weshalb wir auch nicht bis zum Check-out ausschalfen konnten. Das ist sehr ärgerlich, wohl wissend, dass es ein Hotel ist und wann die Check-Out-Zeit ist...

Self check in defekt! Hotel Alexander warten und CHF 8 bezahlen!!

Awful awful hotel. No one works here and we had to walk to another hotel to check in. No lifts and the most uncomfortable pillows on the planet. The hotel should be avoided at all costs. The bathroom was tiny and looks like a toilet on a train. Small with sliding doors that don’t shut properly and when you shower the entire room becomes soaking wet. Loads of noise from the street below and loud music all night

We needed a stop over from a long drive home. This was ideal for a bed and shower. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The only issue was self checkin which didn't work and we had to walk to the next hotel to gain the access codes to the rooms.

All was as expected until, in the middle of the night when me and my girlfriend had some fun another Double Booked Room Person walked in he was as surprised as we were from his looks. We never saw him again in our room. So except this it was basic, functional and cheap.

Really uncomfortable beds and pillows, could not sleep much. Also quite a lot of noise from the street and also the hallway. Would not recommend staying here unfortunately. The location is good though. And the staff was friendly. Better beds and isolation and I would have rated it
