Ibis Budget Basel City

"Great budget choice! The room was clean and came with a private bathroom. The best part was the complimentary bus day pass-free transport to the airport and around the city. Service was excellent too. Highly recommend!"

Very nice staff and absolutely amazing price, closed to train station but it feels quiet .Recommend to solo traveler

The reception staff were all very helpful, having an adapter for the Swiss plug socket was super helpful. The tram stops close by and it's just two stops to the main railway station. Also good to have the area by the main reception with the microwave, kettle and ironing board for all to use.

I had a great experience in Basel, Switzerland and also an excellent experience in this hotel very near to everything in the city. Also good breakfast.

Smooth check-in, quiet room, and a great location. Exactly what I needed for a solo traveller.

The room was clean, we have a bunkbed, double bed with a single bunkbed. The toilet is separated, the shower room is very tiny, not much room to move around inside. No hair dryer is provided. There is a small TV in the room where the channels are quite many in France and some in English. Our towels were changed daily and our bed also being done daily during our stay. The hotel is in good location, there is a tram stop nearby, also we can just walk around 15 minutes to the main train station and it was safe during the night and even early morning. The nearest supermarket is COOP and it is around around 5-10 minutes, you can see the COOP office building from the hotel and still need to walk straight from it.

Its a pretty decent clean place. But the room aircon is super low, its as if it has not been opened at all even though its on the highest fan speed or lowest temperature. You might get suffocated in the room. the only way is to lend a "key" from the receptionist to Open the Window to have some fresh cooling air. but this can also be quite noisy as the noise from train can be loud. But suffocation Vs Noise. you can only choose 1. Highly not recommended to stay during summer, spring or Autumn period. Winter is ok to stay, because you can still open the Window Besides 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo. Nothing else is provided, even toothbrush. Need to pay for everything. No hot water for you to make coffee or cook any noodles too.

The hotel was located a 15 minute walk from Basel SSB and close to public transport connections into the city. The room was very basic, cramped and warm but ok for a short stay with family or someone you are very close to.
