Eco Lifestyle Lodge is a really beautiful place to stay, the room was decorated to a high standard and was really relaxing, it had great amenities too. A wonderful setting in Bathsheba and lovely staff! The food at the restaurant was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.

It was a lovely staycation! I really enjoyed the quietness, salt baths and sauna. The food was excellent and staff kind and helpful. Seacat (the groundsman) did a good job getting the sauna hot for me and even offered coconut water to take home. I would highly recommend that you invest a chainsaw for him which would make his life and work so much easier. Also I would recommend putting a battery based lantern in the sauna for safety, as otherwise it's too dark which can be hazardous.

From the moment we walked up the hill from our Inn to the Eco lifestyle and Lodge for an early breakfast, we were greeted with a gentle sounds of Duke Ellington & John Coltrane, “In a Sentimental Mood”. The bird saying all around us and the sun was just starting to warm the day. The lodge is nestled on the hill surrounded by lush Gardens, not the kind of gardens that are orchestrated, but those that are etched out of nature. It is bijou and a retreat…. The fine elegance of nature. Breakfast was delicious, and as I appreciate the importance of ingredients, it was clear that they were gathered fresh from local farms. However, as we sat down and sipped our first green papaya juice, and ate her eggs and brioche French toast, we realize that this was something different. It wasn’t just about ingredients, but how they magically came together to create a “ moment” The Lodge is located in Bathsheba, out of the way for some, but not for those searching for something special…… Over the next 10 days we ate at the lodge a number of times for breakfast and dinner. As much as I love the breakfasts, the two dinners we had were prepared with care and attention to detail. A salad of fresh mixed vegetables, including roasted eggplant that had been dredged in cassava flour overnight, had the most delicious turmeric vinaigrette. Richard, the chef, prepared his special lasagna in individual cast-iron skillets.. This was no ordinary lasagna, but made with roasted vegetables and topped with gorgeous strong cheddar, a creative departure from the usual mozzarella. Portions were generous and they provided containers to bring home any extra. On pizza night, I chose the vegetable pizza. Don’t expect the usual, it was a thin sourdough crust, with caramelized, onions, roasted vegetables, and some delicious beets snuggled into the cheese. … sublime combination.. I cannot overestimate the beauty of the surroundings and the quality of the food. However, it was the people and the welcome we received that will remain with us. We live in a small town in Nova Scotia, which is visited by thousands of visitors every year. Remembering this wonderful kindness, which was shown to us, I realize that I want to make sure that our visitors have the same kind of greeting and remember our town as fondly as I remember Bathsheba and the echo lifestyle and lodge.

Such a wonderful experience. Such a relaxing place Eco Lifestyle Lodge. Beautiful room, lovely outdoor spaces right up with nature. Most delicious breakfasts (and sundowners). And the beaches- I walked for miles and miles with nothing but the glorious waves for company. Did not want to leave and want to go right back. And Stacia at the front desk looked after me like I was family!!!! x x

We haven’t stayed here but we have eaten here several times. Always fresh, delicious food. Cocktails are good. The chefs are professional, friendly and talented. Always vegan options available, as well as delicious fish dishes. Picturesque setting.

We absolutely loved Eco Lifestyle and Lodge. We checked in having abandoned a dubious airbnb nearby after one night, and Stacia on reception was so very friendly and helpful - such a relief! Our room was cool and stylish, the food was wonderful and all the staff we met were kind, helpful and friendly. I don't think I've ever been to a lovelier spot, if you like to feel in touch with nature, this is the place for you! You can walk through the gully down to the coast, sit out on the deck which feels like it hangs over the atlantic or read a book on the porch, whilst drinking from a coconut. Do be aware that it's an old wooden building so the soundproofing isn't all that, but this wasn't a problem for us. I'd recommend this place to everyone and anyone!

Me and my husband spent a week at Eco Lifestyle & Lodge last February. We were looking for a quite and genuine place to stay, away from the mainstream with a personal touch and we found it. It's a beautiful place with just enough opportunities to join mindful activities an a hike you won't miss. Food is fresh, delicious and healthy, rooms are cozy and clean with space to sit outside in the evening, personnel is friendly and welcoming and the views in the surrounding are absolutely breathtaking.

We stayed at the neighbouring historic Atlantis hotel and dined twice at the Eco Lodge. Both times were themed dinners - the first was pizza (I’m GF and the best crust ever!). Super interesting choices! The second experience was a five course tasting menu with wine pairings for each course. Again my GF was accommodated without feeling like I missed anything. I’ve been to Barbados over twenty times and this tasting menu was the best meal I’ve had! Outstanding. Friendly service. Beautiful atmosphere. Temperatures taken.

We stayed here in Nov 2023 loved its beautiful room, incredible food, the freshest and most creative evening menus, Richard the chef is a maestro, staff friendly. Came for Sunday brunch this time and had the lobster benny and fish tacos, highly recommend for a meal or to stay. My favourite part of the island, Bathsheba, so great to have somewhere nestled here.
