The hotel still so nice from the outside but I think should maintain the room facilities.The room looks like very old and they should give hotel guests discount for foods and beverages .

1. Upon arrival in the hotel lobby, there was no welcome or instructions provided.
2. After checking in, there was no guidance to the room or information about the facilities' location. Everything remained unclear, and guests had to find their own way.
3. Staff members were unfriendly.
4. The room lighting was very dim, and the bathtub was moldy.
5. The pool was crowded, the food was of low quality, and the prices were expensive.
This was the second visit after three years, yet the same issues persisted.

No bathrobe in the room. We are unable to take a proper shower because the water is very yellowish and dirty due to the maintenance of the water tank.

Hotel room is noisy. The room looks old but cleanliness consider ok. Staff are friendly.

Stayed in Golden Sands for a night, what I really would say, "Old is Gold" don't ever think it is an old hotel, the hotel is very well kept, very clean. Good for bringing family here for travel, the kids pool is just awesome. Breakfast just average, not much choices. Will definitely pay visit again in the near future.

Worth the money. There is a family check-in experience and kid’s corner at the breakfast buffet. Our 2.5 year old enjoyed himself very much. Perhaps an area of improvement is to make the toilets kid friendly - maybe make kids’ toilet seat covers available so they can comfortably use the toilet themselves.

Very kids friendly hotel.
Kawasan cantik. Ada beach walaupun kecil.
Ada splash pool juga. Staff was amazingly helpfull.
Overall all is good and worth for money.

Room a little dated but facilities are good. Plenty of activities to keep kids occupied. Second stay and many more to come.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay at the Golden Sand Hotel. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable and luxurious accommodation in Penang.
