Harmony Bay Resort and Dive Center

We had a fantastic stay at Harmony Bay. The bay itself is absolutely gorgeous, the bungalows are spacious and I could spend a year chilling in the hammock on the veranda. Valentina and Rock took great care of us even though they had literally just returned from Europe and came on the same boat we did to the resort. The beach was soft and incredible and our kids loved playing on it and in the ocean. The sunset views were spectacular and we loved the shady resort area and the food. They even went out of their way to help us spot some endemic owls since they saw I was enjoying looking for birds around the property. This is a simple place, there is only electricity in the evenings and not even fans but the breeze and the jungle tend to cool down the bungalows and the chill atmosphere lets you immerse yourself in the surrounding beauty of nature. It's a wonderful place to go off the grid for a few days which is becoming increasingly harder to find in our interconnected world and the snorkeling on their coral garden is incredible. You have to swim out a way over the shallow ledge to get to the reef but when you do it's like swimming into another world full of colorful coral and fish, it's absolutely magical! Days spent reading in a hammock and snorkeling that reef will be some of the best days of your life.

We’ve been in this amazing place for a week with a couple of friends. The staff was kind and friendly all the time, we enjoyed talking with them and playing beach volley matches too! The food was the best we found in sulawesi, we ate different kind of plates everyday including fresh fish, great pizza and delicious snacks. Every meal is served to all guests at one big table and we had the chance to meet many people in a very sharing atmosphere. The resort offers different types of activities, they guided us in snorkelling trips to see the coral reef, one of the best experience we have ever made. Our friends are (advance divers) went diving with the resort’s dive master (soon Instructor) Is, very professional and prepared that brought them in amazing dive spots. We definetely recommend it, we had the best time!

That first view at Harmony Bay when you cross the corner with the boat ❤️. This is paradise. We stayed 3 nights at the cabin close to the beach (recommended!). The hospitality of the whole team is warm and family-like. The food is just amazing. There is no warm water, no mobile or wifi connection and electricity runs from 6pm to 10pm. There is a big table for breakfast, lunch, dinner - ideal to share travel experiences with the other guests. The resort also has a diving center. We had a really great dive master on our trips, fluent in English and showing us all the underwater beauties. And the jelly-fish lake is closeby! Ideal for a 3-5 nights stay. Don’t hesitate, this is a jewel in Togean Islands

We had high hopes for Harmony Bay, and we were not disappointed. The setting is pristine and isolated - exactly like the pictures. Yes, it is worth it to spend a slight bit extra to get a waterfront villa. You are just a stone's throw from the water, and the front veranda with both chairs and hammocks are large enough for two or more. The veranda is where we spent most of our time, just enjoying the beautiful bay and surrounding lush jungle views. During our stay at HB, there were only a couple more guests, and the peaceful feeling with the beautiful sunsets and waves lapping in front of our bungalow was just hypnotic. The bed was a bit firm, but adequate. Yes, there is only electricity from dusk until 11:30pm, so if you want to charge your phone or other electronics, you time it appropriately. And no, there isn’t any cell service or wifi, though Yang Yang, the manager, does have the ability to communicate out if needed. Overall we were very comfortable, but if the breezes die down, it can get sticky without any fans or air conditioning. You need to take your own heat tolerance into consideration. We enjoyed the family style meals with the other guests. They cook eggs to order in the morning, or can provide other breakfast options. There is also always a morning fruit bowl, and there are thermoses of hot water with tea bags and instant coffee on the table throughout the day (we were happy that we had brought our own creamer). The cook includes a lot of fresh vegetables for lunch and dinner - a real treat when eating on a rather remote island. We ate a lot of fish which we really enjoyed, but when a family arrived with children, all of a sudden there were pasta dishes and other foods that were more kid friendly. And their afternoon snacks are absolutely delicious! However, my husband’s favorite was having young coconuts, kelapa mudah, freshly cut down from the top of the trees right in the compound. They cut off the tops of the coconut, and then you drink the coconut water straight from the coconut. It is refreshing and full of healthy electrolytes. Then you can have it cut open further, and use a spoon to scoop out the tender flesh. What a treat! Yang Yang, the onsite manager, was quite helpful arranging whatever activities we wanted to do for the day, whether it was going to the jellyfish lake, snorkeling, or out to explore local fishing villages. His English is quite good, and he was able to give us great advice to help us match our plans to the weather. We had some windy days which kept us closer to the island, but we were still able to kayak to the next harbor where there was even better snorkeling than in our own bay. We also took a jungle walk behind the resort which let us experience what it is like on the inside of the island, and visited both a nearby resort as well as found the other way to get to the bay next to us. We were advised to look for the man who was boiling down palm sap to make the local delicacy,

We had an amazing experience and ended up extending our stay at harmony bay from 2 to 7 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere and very well maintained property. The sea view bungalow is really worth the extra money, we loved relaxing on the balcony whilst enjoying the sunset. The private beach is stunning and the snorkeling on the house reef is spectacular. Food is delicious and plentiful and the meal setup makes it easy to meet other guests. The hosts and staff team are always extremely friendly, cheerful and you can really feel that the upmost priority is that guests have a great experience. Perhaps one caveat is that you need to jungle trek or swim to the next beach to access internet although honestly this is also part of the charm. We highly recommend this resort!

We have no critics to make of this magical place... We stayed at this resort for 7 days and never felt the need to leave. The place is simply splendid and the bungalows are a dream! We spend hours on our terrace enjoying the moment, the place and the unforgettable view. Yayan and his amazing family took care of us like never before at any other resort! They are always singing, smiling and the food is delicious, healthy and for 7 days always varied, which we got used to and missed when we left Harmony Bay! We will come back for sure! Abbiamo passato qui una settimana prima di proseguire verso nord. È stata una bellissima settimana grazie a tutto lo staff di Harmony bay. Il cibo era molto buono e vario, anche soprattutto rispetto a quello che abbiamo sentito degli altri resort. Le merende erano una delizia!! Inoltre ci è piaciuto anche che si mangiasse tutti insieme alla stessa ora, è un modo carinissimo per conoscersi e magari finire a giocare a carte insieme :) Le isole togean sono più spartane rispetto ad altre isole turistiche indonesiane; la corrente c’è dalle 18 alle 22.30, non c’è acqua calda e connessione internet. Ma onestamente nessuno di questi è stato mai percepito come un problema. Inoltre c’è anche il beach volley, i kayak e soprattutto uscite per immersioni e snorkelling. Israt è un dive master (presto istruttore) impeccabile, ci ha dato qualche consiglio per migliorare e durante le immersioni eravamo sempre pochi, quindi molto seguiti!! La barriera corallina di fronte all’hotel è bellissima, anche con la bassa marea si raggiunge in 10 metri. Consiglio il bungalow più “lussuoso” per l’affaccio sul mare e le amache sul balcone (che ci sono anche in quello meno lussuoso). Il clima è davvero familiare, ci è dispiaciuto un sacco andare via, il personale è tutto incredibilmente gentile, sorridente, simpatico! Ci hanno anche aiutato con gli spostamenti successivi. Spesso giocavamo insieme a beach volley o a carte. L’aria che si respirava era davvero rilassata.

Als je het bountygevoel wilt ervaren moet je naar Harmony Bay gaan. Vooral de huisjes aan het strand zijn prettig om in te verblijven. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en de manager en de boatsman spreken Engels. Het allerbeste van dit verblijf was het eten. Twee zussen zijn de hele dag in de keuken bezig en maken werkelijk de lekkerste gerechten. Vooral als je vegetarisch of veganistisch bent zul je heel erg blij zijn. Het personeel is extreem vriendelijk Je voelt je ditect helemaal thuis Een van ins mocht meekoken en je kreeg echt een inkijkje in de familie Er zijn 4 tripjes te maken. Twee halvedag tochten en een dagtocht. Je betaalt voor de boot. De halve dagtocht kost 600000 en is niet duur. Het koraal is mooi en voor het resort ligt al mooi koraal. In de middag is het eb en is het wat lastiger daar naar toe te snorkelen. Er zijn een paar tips. In het huisje is geen airco, maar dat is bekend maar ze hadden hier en daar wel gaas kunnen plaatsen om allerlei ongedierte tegen te houden. We hadden de pech in de 6 dagen dat we er waren elke dag regen te hebben en dan blijft alles in het huisje extreem vochtig. In totaal is onze conclusie (we waren met 5 personen) een 100 % aanrader

Harmony Bay liegt ca. 20 Minuten vom Fähranleger in Wakai entfernt auf der Insel Kadidiri. Das Resort liegt geschützt in einer Bucht, so dass man auch bei starkem Wellengang entspannt schnorcheln kann. Vier der sieben Bungalows haben direkte Strandlage, so dass man das Meer und den Sonnenuntergang von der Terrasse aus genießen kann. Diese Bungalows verfügen jeweils über zwei Hängematten, so dass kein Streit aufkam, wer sie benutzen darf. Die Angestellten waren der Hammer....super leckeres frisches Essen, gleich dreimal am Tag, immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen und auch die Anlage wurde von ihnen top in Schuss gehalten. Die Ausflüge zum Jellyfish Lake und zu den Riffs, als auch die Tauchgänge mit Meikel waren unvergesslich. Wir werden ganz sicher wiederkommen! Terima kasih!
