Hotel de la Poste

Nice old quaint hotel. Parking is about €14 a day. Breakfast nothing to shout about for the cost. Nice front desk ladies. Right outside beaune centre and a huge hypermart 2mins walk away. No kettle, no fridge.

We had a one night stop when heading South - like so many do. I booked via *********** - mistake. If you book direct the hotel will reserve you a parking space (& they have EV points too). Because I didn’t I was told a space would only be available if there was one on the day. There was fortunately. We had a good sized double room overlooking the back - and unusually the rear view is ok! Very brown decor and it all really needs updating, but the bed was comfy, and it was only for one night. The hotel restaurant - one of the main reason for booking this hotel was ‘unexpectedly shut’ that night. No reason given. They had reserved us a table at 21 Boulevard which was absolutely amazing - perhaps a lucky break. We met an old friend for drinks outside the hotel and getting a bottle of fizz wasn’t easy - the fridge was locked, the guy was tee-total so didn’t know anything about fizz and so on. Anyway we sorted it. Breakfast the next morning was lovely. Room cost €213. Not bad value. Probably best avoided as there are other options.

Delightful, clean, quiet. Room was spacious and charming. The staff were courteous and helpful. Near old section of town and convenient to shopping. Excellent dinner. Parking is a bit limited but otherwise our stay was seamless. Would go back.

Very nice hotel, well located, just a short walk from the center. It is easy to park your car, either in the garage or at the free parking lot behind the hotel. The spa is wonderful! Staff is friendly and willing to help. We had a nice drink in the hotel bar, which is very charming.

A two night stay for a group of American wine professionals. Check in is a rigid 16:00 but we were able to store our bags till later. The public areas have obviously been refreshed but bedrooms (certainly the one we stayed in) are mostly quite jaded and in need of a refresh. Staff were friendly although there did not seem much atmosphere in the lobby and bar which was surprising. We did not need it but there is private parking if pre-booked and breakfast was OK although not all the group had it. The great thing is the location, everything in Beaune is nearby and with a little effort this place could be superb once some of the rooms are tidied up.

We have been staying at La Poste for several years. The rooms are very comfortable and the furniture quirky. The water is wonderfully hot and the breakfasts more than adequate. The staff are most helpful and always cheerful.

The hotel was fantastic. Great staff. The room was brilliant - great views, spacious room, and the bedding was soft and clean. Room awas cleaend promptly and the pool and facilities were also very good. My only criticism is that the previous guest had been smoking in the room and the smell was strong and lingered.

We had a very pleasant stay. Within walking distance to everything in town. Front desk staff very helpful Would recommend to everyone. Breakfast was delightful and very filling with lots of choices.

The staff is great! Very friendly, willing to help with kindness and a smile. I don’t know if they had a concierge or not but no problem! The staff (and I mean all of them) got envolved in triying to help in giving the best restaurant recomendations and did me the favor of calling for a reservation every night. The room is simple and a bit rustic but very clean and well kept for being such a historic property. The property is very conviniently located to walk anywhere and has a great parking on the back for 4 Euros a night. The shower head could have been a little bit bigger to cover at least half of the back of a 6’ guy but considering the median in Europe, at least it was fully closed so you had no water running out of it. In all fairness, overall it was a good size comfortable bathroom. With regards to the corner room, I must say there was kind of an issue. It was considerably spacious but lacked a regular (at least mildly comfortable) sofa to just lay down and relax instead of laying down on the bed. Instead it had a (2-3) fairly uncomfortable 🤷🏼antique chairs and a larger 2 seater chair with a bulky an almost completely useless rotating table. Lastly, I must say that since it is in front of an intersection witha trafic light, the room was a bit noisy from the motorcicles and cars constantly waiting and passing. It is considerably acceptable but when the room has the air conditioning turned off (because of winter in Europe) even if it was 50 deegrees F outside (and the sun hits the room until its gone), when you open the window all hell breaks loose. Jajaja!!! I know what it is like to try to sleep in the countryside with roosters and here I had no roosters but about a 100+ crows and their nests almost right in front of the hotel and they can get very loud and way too early in the morning. 🤷🏼 Oh well, a little tolerance here and there is always necessary! I did not complain, slept like a baby and had an excelent stay. I also had an excelent experience in Beaune visiting vineyrads, understanding the region an apreciating theyr rich culture! It is an exceptional place to visit if you like that stuff! Cheers!!!
