Location is definitely fantastic. Walking distance to 2 train stations Nanluoguxiang and Sichahai. You will stay in old style hutong house with modern comforts such as water heater for shower and self regulated room heater during winter. Yes Nanluoguxiang is touristy, but definitely worth it for a first visit to China. Nearby plenty of halal restaurant labelled with the chinese words Qing Zhen 清真。50yuan per wash for laundry, did not use it, hand wash instead. For ladies, best to stay in room with private washroom as the public washroom is mix with men. Downstairs is a cafe that opens at 11am. Did my solat prayers on the floor in the room. They provide free slippers.

I just want to add, in addition to the other travel comments, that the nearest subway station is called Nanluoguxiang, exit E, and it's about a 4-minute walk to the hostel.

The place is a bit old but charming and well located for a few days to visit Beijing.

Inside the Yu’Er Hutong, close to many shops and minimarket.
Loads of attractions around and a few a just 15-20 minute walk.
Inside looked ok, an average hostel and ok for the price, but the last day, before check in out i discovered there was a 3-4 centimetres “mattress” of dust and garbage under my bed
(Room 201), that means the cleaning process was been made only for cover and linen.
Staff can speak a good English and could help you with some requests.

Recommended for solo travelers. Near the center, transportation very convenient, lots of place to eat outside (expensive), very lovely hutong area.

Honestly, a perfect stay in the heart of Beijing! Don’t believe the bad reviews~ The beds were super comfy, big towels for 5 extra yuan and such a nice local vibe overall! The showers might be a bit dirty, but it is honestly perfectly normal in a budget hostel! 😊 It’s also right around the corner from a very busy street with all kinds of foods and shops 🥰

I booked this hotel as solo female traveler, and open for meeting other people. The hotel was like a ghost town and I barely saw any other guests, and the cafe on the main floor was overpriced. The location is great with lots of nearby shops and restaurants.
