It was a nice big room, the bed with four-poster. The receptionists were doing their job properly. We only stayed one night, did not use all the facilities, such as bar, swimming or gym which there were available, only the restaurant.
The bed is too soft, my husband was sank into it. He did not have a good night sleep.

One of the better hotels around, with a decent standard of room space and comfort!
Service was impeccable from reception to bar to check out - top notch hotel!
Tip: Ask for a room in the new wing

We attended a wedding and stayed over night. Lovely old hotel. The bridal entrance down the staircase was beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The wedding food was really lovely. The bed was very comfy, everything nice and clean. Breakfast was good, weren’t keen on the sausage myself. Overall it was a lovely stay, everyone had a great time.

Friendly and pleasant staff. Quality food and service. Room very clean and warm, a few bits of maintenance required in bathroom. Corridors look a little tired but it is an old manor so kind of in-keeping.

Room was outside accessed to separate building. Room was very clean and modern.
Downside was bar area was not big enough to accommodate more than 30 people and breakfast selection was not very good croissants and pain au chocolate hard. Chaotic due to event night before

Needs a lot of updating in bedroom
Bathroom was not clean
Grubby around shower screen, towel rail very dirty
Tiles had grout missing
Spa and swimming pool area are very dirty
Staff need trained on hygiene control
Staff are friendly and professional

Lovely hotel with lots of character. Spacious, well furnished and equipped room. Would have been nice to have the radiator on on arrival as room was freezing. Good restaurant with quality food. Excellent breakfast. Great service. Pot holes need to be sorted in the drive.

We stayed in a room with a four poster bed, which obviously cost more money. You therefore don’t expect to have mould all over the bathroom ceiling. The water pressure in the shower was far too powerful which meant spray went everywhere and probably causes the mould on the ceiling. The room was pretty dated, and needs some modernisation. A fire exit was blocked by a table in the dining room which was reported to the management. The food was good but dinner in the restaurant was overpriced. The gym was very small but ok, and the pool/jacuzzi area was nice although also needed some maintenance . Staff were friendly.
