Stayed here for two night because it was close for border crossing on our business trip . You can see they are trying to update it . The room was clean, the bed was alright . My biggest complaint was the bathroom. I feel when your on the road and wanting a good hot shower this is not the place for it . If your a big guy like myself, good luck on moving around in it . Just washing my hair I was afraid I was going to put a elbow through the wall. My wife was with me and she went in trying to shave her legs and about water boarded herself . She was bent over in a way I’ve never seen. And she’s a little thing. Definitely could have done better in that area .

My family and I stayed at this hotel this weekend and we had a very lovely stay. Check in and check out were a breeze. There's ample paid parking. I'm not complaining about the price because it's cheaper than hotel parking in downtown Vancouver or Whistler. The suites are very spacious, well appointed and absolutely clean. We're very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms, including the patio furniture. No dust on them at all. Kudos to the housekeeping team. We love the beds. The mattresses are very comfortable and the sheets look and smell clean. The air conditioning is nice and cool. I love how we could set it to 15°C (60°F). Some hotels lock the setting at 18°C as the coldest. I find that too warm for my liking. The location is excellent. It's within walking distance to shops and restaurants. It's a 3 minute walk to a liquor store and about a 2 minute walk to a bubble tea place. There are a couple of Mexican restaurants that are about a 5 minute walk away, as well as numerous fish and chip places. I would also like to commend the front desk staff who had to deal with a couple of entitled ”Karens” who threw a hissy fit because they thought that just because they disagreed with hotel policy and are not aware of it, it shouldn't apply to them. Google is free, people. They even demanded to speak with the owner of the hotel too. I believe the manager and staff dealt with them in a calm and professional manner. Kudos to you guys as well. We really had an enjoyable weekend and plan to stay at Ocean Promenade Hotel next time we're in White Rock.
