Comfort Inn Birmingham Homewood

The property was nice, when you first enter the lobby it has a nice refreshing scent, it was close to my event, the room was very nice and clean.

To be honest my stay was ok! On Saturday as I was sleeping the fire alarm went off and woke me up I almost fell out the bed! I got dressed and had take the steps, the fire depar**ent silenced the alarm, and I had to walk back at five flights of steps, almost having an asthma attack. On Sunday I spoke with the front desk clerk Jay and told him I situation about my plane leaving late and I asked if I could stay at least until 2 o’clock. He told me yes and reassured me that it will be OK that he will talk with the owners. The next morning, I went to the front desk and spoke with a young lady whom I’m thinking is the manager and I explained my situation to her about being inconvenienced on Saturday night as I was sleeping and asked if I could get a late check out around 2 PM. She told me no and never apologize for what happened on Saturday night. I asked her well why would your front desk clerk Jay tell me that I could stay until at least 330 and that it will be OK I brought him dinner and again he reassured me that it will be OK she goes to try and call him but still standing firm on. It’s a no late check out is at 12 PM. So again my hotel stay probably would’ve been excellent but with the fire alarm and the lies from the front desk clerk JaybI had a horrible day. Also, I wanna add that every time I heated up my food in the microwave, the microwave, the lamp on the desk and the refrigerator all will go out and I had to keep flipping the switch behind the desk to continue to hea

I was allow to park right in the front of the door - handicap parking too much noise last night there at midnight

Everything looked and smelled clean. The room was very nice, and the fixtures were especially elegant, and surprisingly so, for such a reasonable rate.You can tell that the owners of the hotel went out of their way to add some special touches to the decor. The front desk staff and dining room hostess were especially pleasant. The breakfast offerings were at least as varied as you can get at this price point anywhere else. The customer ratings for this hotel were a little higher than those of a similar price point, definitely this close to Birmingham's city center, and those ratings are well justified.

Room was clean and prepared well. Lobby and elevators smelled strongly of cleaning supplies. Free breakfast was average.

It was just an ok hotel. The smell in the lobby area was a little extra strong. I don’t know if they were trying to mask another smell. The rooms were ok. I really try to rate on cleanliness because that’s what I look for in a hotel reviews. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good. Just ok.

No hot water 9pm. We all took cold shower. Fragrance in the lobby and hallway is too strong. People are nice. I tried this hotel due to convenience but I will stick with crossplex location which is way cleaner and nicer.

Very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I liked the dumbbells my family and I were able to get a nice back/bicep workout. Breakfast was fulfilling and I liked that u had to use your passkey to get into these areas. Overall a nice experience!

To have the bathroom light on, the shower vent would also come on and it was extremely loud.
