La Colina Hotel Cottage

A lovely respite from the busy city. La Colina is an artists dream. Everywhere you look there is enchanting and provoking art. The hosts are wonderful people. They travel the world seeking out delicious foods to bring home to the kitchen. Our dinner snd breakfast were most satisfying. Thank you Frederico for sharing this beautiful place withus.

La Colina was the best place to stay at the end of a month in Colombia. It is very cosy, quiet and filled with unusual objects and art, with great views over Bogota. We only stayed one night but wish it has been more. We had snacks, dinner and breakfast there and they were all very tasty and made in the fabulous open kitchen. It was great to have a hot shower and very comfortable beds after backpacking across the country. Although a little way out of the centre, the surrounding area looked interesting and it didn't take long to get to the main places of interest by taxi.

Excellent food. Excellent accomodations. Excellent Hospitality. Excellent staff. what else can you expect from a unique & special hotel? Highly recommended to all local & international tourism in Bogota. I have been in the best chains of hotels worldwide, and this one is above all of them.

Very pleased with the overall experiences with my First time visiting for a family breakfast: - Reservation confirmed expeditiously - welcome greeting very early in the morning while I was still sleepy from a red eye flight - outstanding food prepared to our personalized preferences by kind Tamara - every room and area has a historic background masterfully explained by property manager Federico Ruiz. - Very appropriate pricing. It was a pleasure to tip the staff. In summary, my first visit but certainly not my last!

I decided to make a stop in Bogotá for a few days on my way to Rio de Janeiro. I could not have found a more delightful boutique hotel. Everything about the experience was fabulous. The owner put up with my many questions throughout the process. He was patient and kind and had thoughtful responses. Everything was arranged for me from the transport to and from the airport, to a visit to a coffee plantation, which I highly recommend. And he arranged a private tour around the city. Which is a great way for a woman alone to see the sights. The daily breakfast was absolutely the best. I had dinner at the hotel one night and it was also delicious . The room was comfortable and cozy, and had more than enough space. The bed was perfection. This hotel makes a point of being sustainable and using environmentally friendly products. Even the hygiene amenities are in reusable glass bottles that are filled daily. I wish I would’ve spent an extra day or two and it’s delightful place. Even on a day when I didn’t want to explore, there is lovely, cozy nooks to sit with a book and a cup of coffee. I had quite a few hours before I needed to leave for the airport so the owner was more than happy to let me just make myself comfortable in the space. And even provided a small snack of cut up fruit for me. That is above and beyond.

Lovely quiet little hotel. Good food! Very friendly people that own and work there. The only downfall is that is very far from the main part of Bogota. With trip into town takes almost an hour depending on traffic, and there is always traffic!

I rate the hotel 5 in most respects. The owner is helpful and employees are fabulous. The only caveat is the location. It is on a hill (hence the hotel name) quite a distance from the center of the city (45 minutes to one hour). So if you need to schedule different activities in the center of Bogota, it may be a bit inconvenient. For us it was fine, since we only went to one event. The owner is great at getting tbe guests sage transportation each way. Would stay again. We enjoyed our stay.

This one of a kind place was phenomenal in it's rustic, cozy and artistic vibes. It is a nice hidden oasis in northern Bogota. The patio and dining area was spacious, welcoming with excellent attention to detail. I really enjoyed coming to my table for breakfast already set for me with granola, fruit, coconut shavings, raw sugar, fresh squeezed juice and warm yogurt. Then I would be surprised with an amazing main breakfast meal that is different each day. My room came with a massive bed that was very comfortable to sleep on as it was firm and great for my sensitive back. I loved the bathroom and large standing shower area with all the stone work. A nice rustic vibe with art throughout my room to gaze upon. It was nice to look forward to returning to my room after being out and about in Bogota for the night. The dining experience is incredible. The Ceviche an Tuna Tartare blew my mind for the appetizers I had on several different occasions. I stay with all the meat options and the steaks were cooked to perfection with tasty veggie sides and perfect mash potatoes. I hosted friends on different occasions and they were very pleased with the experience and enjoyed the spaghetti with shrimp and the other loved the salmon dish. One highlight was the Mother's Day affair. I simple special menu was offered that day. I chose the 2nd option, the white fish with papaya blew my mind. I tried the special Colombian Rum and I enjoyed discussing the rum culture of South America.

Excellent breakfast and food in general, highly recommended! The staff was very kind, helpful and friendly. Warm decoration and atmosphere, you always feel like home! And Federico and Rosana were excellent hosts! Hope to come back soon!
